In @andy_murray ’s excellent interview last night, he said that in a 16 year career he can only remember 4-5 times that he played a perfect match. It’s proof of the truism that a player shouldn’t be judged on their top level. The true test is what their middle and bottom level is.

This is of course only half the story. Shaun was given a 6 week supply of methadone to get him through the trip. He dropped that at the airport and smashed all over the floor, losing the lot. Given half a million quid to spend recording the album, Shaun spent it all on crack.

My dad’s best mate was a session musician. Also did a stint in Hamburg and knew all the Beatles. My dad once told me they ran into George Harrison one day on Carnaby Street in the early 60s. George was livid. They asked him why, he said “I’ve had enough of that cunt McCartney”.

The misconception about Kyrgios is that he doesn’t care. It’s not that. You can tell he’d love to win more tennis matches and compete more. His problem is that he can’t cope with not winning. Not getting his own way. He can’t cope with disappointment. That’s why he doesn’t play.

@OliverKay Points per game is completely unacceptable. That’s not how a league works. It depends on who you’ve played and where you’ve played. One team might have played Liverpool and City twice, another team only once. Their PPG is going to be higher than the team who’ve lost 4 times.
