Been playing Fear and Hunger Termina, and it's really great. It is punishing and difficult, but I still can't understand how these games aren't more popular! Strongly recommended playing.

If you are using Game Maker and working on a big project with long compilation time, consider checking out @YellowAfterlife 's extension GMLive. It lets you update your code while the game is running. Excellent for fine-tuning menus and interfaces, potentially huge time saver!

I've also been playing Hollow Knight which has the opposite effect on me. Can't understand how some people can make such perfect games, and while I can analyze I still see that it's beyond my abilities. I will never be a great level designer :)

Somehow managed to get a PS5. Playing Demon's Souls now. Wow! I'm loving it so far. Some design decisions aren't great, but overall it looks damn good. Can't wait to see the rest of the game.

The sequel to Salt and Sanctuary released today, it's called Salt and Sacrifice. Immediate buy for me. The first game is the most fun I ever had in couch co-op! Recommend that you buy and play both with a friend. Imagine a metroidvania with souls influences and you're there.

Obviously I recommend Hollow Knight as well. I didn't get into it fully first time I tried it, now I can't stop thinking about it. Hope I have a chance to "finish" it before Elden Ring :) I'm not good enough at the platforming though...

Played through Tunic recently, what an amazing game! So much fun exploration, and so much to discover. Had an absolute blast playing. One of the best games I've played, very creative and inspiring. Highly recommended!
