art schools need to start requiring cultural sensitivity classes for students. teach illustrators to tell stories ethically and respectfully, avoid stereotypes, and teach them to leave certain stories alone when they're not theirs to tell. ive seen way too much bs @ this school

the best tip abt style ive heard was from my teacher saying it's a waste of time to try and discover a "style" bc no matter what, if you create and lean towards what you love, your VOICE will always shine through. limiting yourself to one style will ultimately be stifling!
