Right, it seems that to get a transparent profile pic you need to: - Crop your image down to a small-ish resolution (mine is 204x204). I think 400x400 might be the max but this isn't tested. - Needs to have a transparent background and in the PNG format.

I've mentioned this in the past but Precure's production is incredibly reliant on the back of a 70 year old man who still somehow animates 10% of the series on his own. Aoyama will retire eventually but there's nobody out there who can replace him.

Another huge element that comes into play is how reliant current anime is to boomers: a lot of CDs, directors, konte-only, sousakkans are getting near retirement age, and while anime might as well expect less demand by then it might not be enough to tank the "quality" damage.

I don't think it can be overstated more how big of an impact Yoshimi Narita has on Precure as a whole. By the end of the season, she'd have the Series Composition role 5 times, 20% of the entire main Precure series. She's one of the most influential staff full stop on Precure.

Mitsuru Aoyama is a Precure legend and is one of very few people to have been involved with *every* season of Precure (the Kamikita Twins being the other notable example) He is also extremely well regarded by Japanese fans. People *look forward* to his episodes.
