@lolacoaster No one should be having a wedding w/ guests right now. Period. A “masked” weddings ISN’T perfectly safe, just safer than an unmasked one AND most masked ones have portions where people eat & drink maskless. A dance floor, even one with masks, has hard breathing. I’m a wedding DJ.

@evduzit @ZoeSTodd This is (intentionally?) misleading. The vast majority of that soy (75%!) is used for animal feed. It’s for meat & dairy production. Soy’s role in a vegan diet is minuscule compared to a meat eaters. We’d grow a lot less soy if we stopped the demand for animal agriculture.

The more people (especially unpredictable people like kids) the more challenging & complicated the shoot becomes. Not all engagement photographers do family/child shoots. It’s a different style/skill.

@theashleyray I grew up in the era of landlines, in a place with lots of hurricanes. The aftermath of storms (if they didn’t wreck your house) was always the ultimate time to get away with shit because parents couldn’t call one another. It was an island, so we couldn’t really go anywhere.

@chiwhobike Exactly! I used to be annoyed at bikes on the sidewalk (thinking “they’re making us all look bad” etc) until I realized it ALWAYS a symptom of unsafe infrastructure. Barcelona & Tokyo also have lots of bike lanes on sidewalks & folks are respectful of shared space.

If I break contract I face consequences from not only the couple but the venue or wedding planner either of whom may have recommended me. I lucked out & all my 2020 couples canceled or postponed.
