1/? When displaying poor trading habits, remind yourself it is not the core issue at hand that is causing these habits, but rather what happened and hurt you in the past. For instance, if you are losing money on a position prior to hitting your stop loss, you may catch yourself

@SMDTrading saw it and played it. We were able to recognize a pennant forming on TWLOs daily chart. After exiting our swing for a 25% + trade, we took advantage of this breakout setup by grabbing weekly calls, netting us 60% in only 5 minutes.

I hear so many traders in the retail space take into account the R:R for the EV of a trade, but not the perceived win %. So many think trading as tight as possible is automatically the best approach. Great point made here by Lance

Few fallacies worse than “can’t go broke taking profits!” & “keep a tight stop on your losers”. So pervasive & broadly accepted. Your take-profit rules and stop should be dictated by your system based on maximizing EV. Not a tight stop, but the RIGHT stop.

Huge change I made for the better has been listening to podcasts instead of music when doing cardio. Even on topics I know nothing about, taking an hour to learn about them opens a lot of doors and new interests that’s I wouldn’t of had if I listened to Chief Keef the whole time

If you don't focus on the psychological side of trading, it will be very difficult to be a successful trader in the long run. I focus on reviewing my trades more than I physically trade. Along with a trading journal, I also keep a daily report card that I review every weekend

I put on two weekly broken wing butterfly spreads this morning. After the one on $QQQ got up over 60% I bought an embedded debit spread turning it into a risk free butterfly spread. Worst case scenario I make $10 best case I make $260. Risk free trade to start the week🦋 $SPY

"Don't overestimate what you can do in a day." "Don't underestimate what you can do in a year." One of my favorite quotes. A lot of traders go for those homeruns and that's how they blow up their account. Compounding 1% a day turns $5000 into $61,370 a year, or 1227%.

I pay close attention to the tape (L2 / T&S) to see if there was anything that I missed or stood out to me. Great example on $ENTX today. I remember seeing very large size @ 8.80. After reviewing the tape, there was 6 digit size sitting across multiple exchanges

$NVDA poorly managed at first since main focus was on $NKLA, though cleaned up execs later on once I was out of most of $NKLA. "See it" moment on this trade was the clear shift from r/s to r/w against $QQQ. Perhaps could have looked for a re-entry for the short.

Really happy with my $PLTR swing. Scaled in w/ size yesterday w/ hard stop below LOD (24.49). Entries could of been better. Scaled out on frontside move today + added size on 28 break w/ SL @ 27.90. Sold into 29.40. Risked 60 cents to make 3.31 points, > 5.1 risk to reward ratio
