Wow! I just received this letter from Legal Affairs at CBS.
They’re pressed because I quoted THEIR OWN casting producer who told me that the network stopped casting trans people after Audrey’s appearance in BB17. Have they cast a trans person since Audrey? No, they have not.
One of the most interesting (*disturbing) revelations from my book came from a Senior Casting Producer, Christopher Catalano, who indicated that after BB17’s Audrey Middleton, producers vowed to not cast anymore transgender contestants.

I would buy the “old statement” argument if they had cast a trans/NB person recently. They haven’t since Audrey, so I do believe what Christopher said.

Overall, I think

was/is a better casting director than
@JesseTannenbaum
. That’s the consensus among most casting producers I’ve spoken with, and it’s evidenced by Big Brother’s slipping ratings since Robyn left. 🤷🏼♀️ Sorry Jesse.

Terrible. AG provided written responses to some of my questions (refusing a phone interview at first). Then CBS coordinated a video call with AG & RM. I was asked to not record. I was given 1 hour. Not very much time to interview two people. Overall, they weren’t very transparent

I did not reach out to Jesse. He gives “weasel” vibes, like a scab who crosses the picket line. I couldn’t care less about what he has to say about the show. He wasn’t there during its best years and frankly, the ratings suck since he started casting the show. 🤷🏼♂️

I don’t think 10 years is an excuse, esp given that they haven’t cast a trans person since Audrey, meaning their ‘no trans’ mandate is probably still in place.
