Today Dr. David May was named the next president of Bellevue College (BC). The selection was made during a board of trustees meeting, where trustees voted unanimously on his appointment.

BC main campus is closed for the remainder of the eve. & all classes are canceled on main campus. People in student housing should shelter in place. Faculty, staff, & students may depart campus. Please exit campus via the south entrance or the main entrance on Landerholm.
Around 5 p.m. today, we were informed that the student who made threats by email against our college has been taken into police custody. Both the Main & North Campus will be open regular hours on Friday, May 17th & all classes will be held. Thank you for your cooperation.

We are thrilled to announce that our RISE Learning Institute has received a grant from the National Science Foundation to expand project-based learning, a high-impact practice that addresses the equity gap by focusing on engagement, collaboration and relationship-building.
We are proud to announce the BC Vaccine Incentive Program. This program will help increase the number of vaccinated people in our state and support student success.
Fifty eligible students will be randomly selected to receive a scholarship.
