I’m nervous to put my bike a the front of a @metrolosangeles bus because I have crippling social anxiety and don’t want to waste anyone’s time. Can someone show me a step by step video of how to put it on the bus or reassure me that it is easy and I can do it and won’t feel bad?

We need to talk more about how electric cars are going to cause parking lots to be worse. Drivers are going to keep fighting for large parking lots so they can wait to charge their cars. We need transit, not parking lots filled with chargers.

I told my coworker I biked to work last week and he stopped me yesterday to tell me that he decided to bike to work himself for the first time! He said it was really easy and is planning to do it more this summer. 🤘🏼

I’m just going to say it, climate advocacy groups need more housing, transportation, urbanist folks in their midst. I’ve been to a few “sustainability” events over the last few months and the amount of anti-homeless, pro-billionaires, and willing to coddle car companies is crazy.

I left my office in Burbank at 3:15 PM to get home to Pasadena a little early and decided to take the bus. It took me an hour in a half to get home even though if I would have driven it would have taken about 25 minutes. I cannot stress enough how we need better, faster services.

I wish whenever they mentioned infrastructure at the DNC the focus wasn’t just roads and airports (drivers of pollution)—but about trains, housing, sidewalks, ports, bridges, buses….things that rebuild communities.

I had my first run in on an airline where a family didn’t pay for seats together and tried to make me move from the paid window seat to a middle seat so they could stay together. I hate planes already, but this kind of stuff really makes me wish I could @Amtrak everywhere.

We went to DTLA and there are so many beautiful buildings, big sidewalks, and train stations but still the city can’t prioritize density, affordable housing, and slow streets. I always get a little sad at the missed opportunity for a proper sustainable and dense city in LA.

The total lack of urgency that the City of LA is moving with to implement HLA is impressive. It’s enraging when you consider that a pedestrian is injured every 5 hours and killed every 2 days. You’d think something that passed with 2/3 of the vote would be quickly embraced.

One of my favorite things about @metrolosangeles trains compared to other cities is the amount of people chatting. I feel like transit whenever I have visited other cities is typically very quiet, but on LA Metro it seems to be a very social activity.

I once told the city of Burbank that this area wasn’t very multimodal due to the wide lanes, poor crosswalks, long beg buttons, no bike lanes, and lots of right on red. It is by a hospital and Disney lot and multiple bus stops. They said the area was fine… 🤦🏼‍♀️

After the Pepperdine crash, I asked the city to put up cones at the crash site because students & faculty were visiting the site with flowers. The planning department said they couldn’t do anything, but forwarded the request to @CaltransDist7 who, then, also didn’t do anything.
