In 1931, Barnard established the Frank Gilbert Bryson Prize to recognize the senior who receives the most votes of her classmates for her contribution to Barnard during her college years. Congratulations to Solace Mensah-Nahr, this year’s recipient!

Rest in peace, Katherine Johnson, who received the Barnard Medal of Distinction in 2018 for her pioneering work as a mathematician breaking down racial and social barriers. “Math is never out of style,” she said while accepting the medal from President Beilock.
