This isn't quite right. Correction: 1. If some map can't be 4-colored, then the fraction of maps with n edges that can be 4-colored is at most C^n, for some constant C<1. 2. This is impossible b/c by a separate argument, at least 1/1458 of all maps with n edges can be 4-colored.

TeX is hilarious. I tried to place the outer vertices at angles 1*360/48, ..., 47*360/48, but of course TeX can't compute the last two of those because the numbers are too big ("Dimension too large" error). So I had to place them at angles (1/48)*360, ..., (47/48)*360.
