Types of Soils in India
1. Alluvial Soil
- State: Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand
- Composition: Rich in phosphorus, potash, and lime; deficient in nitrogen
- Crops Grown: Wheat, rice, sugarcane, cotton, jute
2. Black (Regur) Soil
- State: Deccan plateau,
