It’s great if women can find meaning in pregnancy, but that’s not a reason to be anti reproductive tech, including the more “out there” stuff like artificial wombs. More choice and less pain is better. Men can also find meaning in war, but that doesn’t mean peace is a bad thing!

I can certainly believe that the inclusion rules for women’s boxing should be updated and that such an update might exclude athletes like Imane Khelif in the future, but this reaction doesn’t seem justified. She has competed in previous Olympics and the governing bodies of each

Boyfriend ordered me a car and when I got in I joked “I know I don’t look like a Vaishnav” - guy didn’t even crack a smile, I’m just here bombing in the Uber

Should we socially punish people who have no mobility problems and take the elevator up a single floor (nothing extreme, just a dirty look)?

@robinhanson But a career is NOT a fundamental goal, it’s instrumental to other goals - I find it interesting how easy it is to forget that (speaking from personal experience!)

@hollowearthterf @Hasen_Judi As one of these divorce stats I very much agree. Marrying young *can* work, but you’re more likely to choose poorly or even just to grow apart than if you marry a bit later. That said, I don’t think childless couples divorcing is a big deal anyways.
