The adult film community has suffered the tragic loss of August Ames. At this time APAC implores community members to respect August’s family and friends and give time and space in the wake of this news.
REMINDER: we have compiled a list of therapists who are welcoming to workers in our industry. Please don't hesitate to reach out, should you need support--especially in light of so much loss and trauma in our community as of late.

: You don't need to do any type of scene that makes you uncomfortable for the "sake of your career" no matter what anyone says. You don't need to defend your choice not to perform in ways that you don't think you'd enjoy to anyone.
When PASS calls a production hold it means that someone was responsible and got tested, and that our system is working and keeping us all safe. Now is the time for solidarity and kindness as those people affected by this wait for results. We are all in this together.
PERFORMERS: please remember to RSVP by noon this Wednesday or you will not get the address! Tell all your performer friends to come too! It's free but ya gotta RSVP!

There should be allotted enough time between recieving the call sheet/scene information and the date of the shoot that the performer can comfortably decline or negotiate the booking details.

If you have a romantic partner, be sure they support your choices and that they don't make them for you.
Never let ANYONE dictate what you can or can't do sexually and with whom.
It's always your choice who you work with and who you don't work with.
Helpful tip no.1: if you have strong preferences about the types of performers you will not work with make them know at point of booking. Research your fellow scene partners more than a day before the shoot. Don't expect your lack of acceptance to be protected.

You can take charge of your schedule.
Regular breaks to rest your body and take time to do things you personally enjoy can be a great way to avoid burn out.

Always make sure to pack at least 1 or 2 sets of every "type" of outfit.
Especially when traveling because you don't know if the company is going to have to change your call sheet the day of your shoot.
Be prepared for anything & you'll be an asset!i
