So proud of @manwhohasitall and all you ambitious Boy Bosses who conquer the world while balancing kids, office, power dressing, skincare, and Me Time. And now a book about to publish in AMERICA?! Go get ‘em, dada.

If you do even cursory rabbit holing into this story, you will see that it is INSANE we don't talk about this national trauma in schools, in history books, in all of our discussions about inland Eastern seaboard culture, all the time. INSANE.

Good morning from the HOSPITAL LOBBY where I am waiting for the husband of our CLIENT WHO JUST GAVE BIRTH to bring down signed contracts because SOME big 5 publishers inexplicably still don’t do DocuSign in 2019!

Today is my 39th birthday and therefore the first day of my 40th year. Fortysomethings plus: what’s your best advice for someone my age? What did you wish you knew or did?

I am sitting in my car doing something like panting after reading this piece; my heart is pounding. It’s all I can do not to go put my fist through a wall.

I hear my 3 children running around upstairs, playing a version of "tag" that involves the youngest, age 2, running around after the rest, laughing and yelling "I COVID! I COVID! I COVID!" Oh God, I feel like I am witnessing the development of Ring Around the Rosy: The Sequel.

@JenAshleyWright With most kids, it's a matter of months vs years that you're not sleeping. Most of them are sleeping a solid 12 by something like...6 months? (I honestly forget.) The bear for me is that those 12 hours are 7pm to 7am and mornings make me want to die.

Good morning! I am dying inside at the level of well-intentioned but totally-off opining about seven-figure advances in my feed. Remind me later today to talk about various reasons why you all are wrong about this, although I do love you.

Honestly surprised we haven't seen more of these "did u know taking care of small children is actually grueling" threads from male Twitter users who live in the Bay Area

I maybe cried a little at this: on tour in Seattle for her new book, AP’S US HISTORY, @petridishes —my sole client who is also a preexisting friend—saw a familiar face in the audience: Mr. Zimand, who taught both of us (actual) AP US History and moved out west 15+ years ago.

The point of this photo with @TheGoodDeath is that the nail in question is a portrait of her head.

I have realized much too late in life that the sum total of heroism (for most of us) is this: when the call comes to act on something personally sad, hard, shameful, or awkward - to lose - for the sake of a much greater but more abstract good, do you do it?
