Potentially unpopular opinion: Gaming is NOT a waste of time. In capitalist society, we can fall into the trap of trading work/time for resources. The secret lies in savoring ALL experience.
Games are inherently enjoyable.
Games imitate real life. Real life imitates gaming.
Raising children is HARD in the developed world today. I was a full-time classroom teacher in middle school before YouTube for three years, and it was difficult, often thankless work that raised my patience.
Do you have kids? What gets you out of bed in the morning?
I enjoy the memory of doing things that are fun, like playing video games, more than actually doing the fun things themselves
This began around my later teenage years when I couldn't escape the gnawing feeling that I was supposed to being productive instead of enjoying things

"This is the real secret of life - to be completely engaged with what you are doing in the here and now. And instead of calling it work, realize it is play" -Alan Watts
Thanks for 600k, everyone! I couldn't possibly deserve all of the kindness you give each day. Lots of more exciting videos and fun things, ideally more stuff with friends, to come in 2022, so stay tuned :)
The compilation of Twitch emotes I made for
@ambiguousamphib
! The lazer eyes and cool emotes are personal favorites, but I love them all. Ambi has been one of my favorite people to work with, extremely nice and very communicative. Really happy to have worked with him!
Happy birthday

Are roguelikes a cheaper form of chemically satisfying gaming entertainment than rich story, narrative-based linear gameplay? And for that matter, what is the value of gaming in general? Is it just a tool for escaping from the real world. Life is a video game.
Sometimes people ask for reading/listening assignments, so in no particular order, here some of the thinkers/writers that I think are really worth sinking your teeth into:
1) Terence McKenna
2) Alan Watts
3) David Foster Wallace
4) Cormac McCarthy
5) Henry David Thoreau
NOTICE: I AM SEEKING VIDEO EDITORS. In search of around 2 video editors to help me complete keyframing, SFX, and VFX on video projects. See my new video for details. Application details listed on my discord server.
Imagine doing a sponsored video, then pulling out CTRL-ALT-DEL mid-session, and clocking CPU speeds to learn the bizarre world of Sims 4 single-thread processing, then begging Twitch chat to save the day with the seamy underbelly of Sims 4 mods.

How do we cultivate having more fun without falling into pure destructive pleasure? Does anyone else experience this phenomenon? What has been successful for you in overcoming it? Genuinely curious.
Is this a problem? While it served me to a certain extent, at a certain point, it turns into misery since every act begins to feel more like a transaction in order to achieve or accomplish something, rather than an end unto itself.
ENDING SOON! Last chance to pick up the limited edition AA plush from Makeship
(Ends 1/6 - After that, they'll never be produced again. Thanks to everybody who already helped fund - including my mom who bought 2)
There is seemingly never an end, and each act/accomplishment somersaults into this endless quest for achieving more and producing more.
When I was 22, I started creating YouTube videos to force myself to hack my way back into having fun. It worked.

Food for thought: What is consciousness?
Wouldn't it be crazy if our consciousness, though it seems god(s)-given, were just a natural phenomena that appears "magical" - something like the wind?
Not actually a personal crisis lol. Literally the reason I started a YouTube channel in the first place it's taken me that long to realize it's the type of existential content I want to make. Possibly a video on this in the future
Imagine PLANNING to stream a game, THEN being asked by the devs who want to SPONSOR you to play the game ANYWAY. 4 partially-reformed ALCOHOLICS, and their ALCOHOLIC pony. A MOLERAT is our captain. We acquire a taste for HUMAN midway thru. 10/10
