Let’s be clear about something: even if we always wear the most conservative, professional clothes in all academic settings, we will still be hit on at the hotel bar by older men in our field. We still won’t be taken seriously. Why? Gender inequality. Not clothes.

My parents, my in-laws, my partner, and myself are all now double vaxxed, which means my kiddo can see his family and IT IS AMAZING! Thanks, science. We needed this.
Academics: policies of self-citing? Writing a chapter and want to point to my previous work on social annotation so I do not have to reiterate the details already explained there (ie: how I set up the assignments, why I use it, etc). Can I do this in a footnote? Uncouth? Yay/Nay?
