i want to make an organized strike for feb. 18th to 25th, not that our current one going on isn't important, but we need to take initiative and keep these efforts going and try our best to make more targeted efforts.
its also not fair to bisan and the others in palestine to keep having to make the call when we have the ability to take action ourselves while they are trying their best to survive. i also want this to be directed at the other gen0cides going on across the globe.
so I'm going to lay out my thoughts and ideas and leave comments open to help get us all to get what we want to focus on. and then, by the 4th of February, I want us to have guidelines and resources to help people prepare.
This will be mainly US focused, as our economy attributes the most harm. However, this is a global issue, I encourage people all across the world to participate. We must fight back against gen0cide, stand up for those who are murd3red by our governments. We will not be complicit.
2a. Strike Conditions
- Boycott brands that support or make money in the countries that are currently committing genocide
- Don't contribute to the economy (dont make purchases, dont go to work, etc)
- Organize protests
- Demonstrate support for Sudan, Palestine, Congo, etc
2b. Strike Conditions
Preparing:
- Buy groceries in advance
- Buy esims to send to Gaza
- Call out of work, organize w/ coworkers
- Pay bills and rent prior to strike
- Donate to orgs that send aid to Palestine, Congo, Sudan, Yemen, etc
- Plan protests for that week
2c. Strike Conditions
How to strike:
- Do what you can! Any support shown is better than doing nothing!
- Prepare for any negative effects to your life! Make plans for how it can impact you!
- Rely on your community! Organize together! If you need help striking, reach out!
3a. Resources
Disclaimer:
I'll be honest and say I'm unaware of many resources to help strike, I'll link the ones I do, and ask that in the comments you help sift through and find resources that I can add to the thread! I would also like to setup a strike fund if anyone can help!
Please don't close your eyes to this, and don't let our global leaders and these companies get away with this. We've been blind for too long. It's time to make it right, and do our part. They're counting on us to see them, to hear them. Do the right thing.
@alien_bunny_
is my main account! I am trying to prepare a strike for next month. My main account was shadowbanned and I'm unable to respond to any comments! Here is the link to it:
Thank you to everyone for spreading the thread! Let's keep it going, and please if you have any ideas or resources comment them and I'll add them! ❤️
I was shadowbanned for about an hour so if I didn't reply to you, that's why. I'll be back to replying and reposting now. 🇵🇸🇸🇩🇨🇩
[REMINDER]
The strike starts in 4 days. Please make sure to get yourselves ready! Buy groceries, make sure to pay your bills, and get your events for that week organized! If you have any events you want to get boosted or need any assistance, please comment below!

This is a global strike for all people under siege. If you have any information or resources, drop them in comments, and I'll link them. None of us are free until we all are!
#FreeWestPapua

#Myanmar
I would like to reiterate that this is for ALL people being oppressed and in the middle of a gen0cide! Thank you to everyone who has been making sure that EVERYONE is heard. I appreciate you so much.

currently working on an infographic to spread strike info easier.
im also working on a discord server to help us keep track of ways to support the countries that need help and build up resources for strikers.
ill try to have them done by tomorrow!

I've seen a few people ask about spreading and posting my thread on instagram. if you want to link me or follow me for info on there as well, it's the same as on here @/alien_bunny_
i dont post on there as much, but i will be posting the infographics there, too!
if i can get a few people to help me translate the infographics into other languages and also have someone make sure the infographics are accessible, i would appreciate that! im not quick done with mockups but people are free to dm me if theyre able to help!
[filler]
if anyone wants to be pinged when i post the infographics, comment below! a few people have already asked but this will just help me keep track!
Update!!
Hey guys! I've finished making the discord server! I will link it here, and when I make the infographics post, I will link it under there! I also made a website so people can submit any questions/concerns there, add the strike to their calendars, and get general info!
@BridhC
the 'sexualized and abused at a young age' to 'not like other girls' to 'maybe im non-binary' to 'trans boy' to 'wait that's internalized misogyny and toxic masculinity' to 'i am in fact non-binary and people should do be free to do what they want' pipeline in my case pfft
Please help out this family in any way you can. They need 44,000 dollars to leave Gaza and if we all pitch in at least a dollar, we can help them get to safety. Don't turn away from these families that need help getting to safety.
#FreePalestine
I see a lot of people posting Kyto's infographic, which is great but please remember this strike is about multiple genocides. While these resources are great for Palestine, don't forget about DRC, Sudan, Tigray, West Papua, Uyghurs, or the others.

This thread is to alert you of the upcoming strike for Palestine from the 18th to the 25th February.
In this 🧵 some resources to make the strike effective and links to campaigns you can donate to.
@chronicallybeee
oh yeah as someone who recently realized they're nuerodivergent and has chronic fatigue/insomnia as a result of mental illness, me constantly having symptoms that people thought I was "too young" to have happened a lot growing up, while simultaneously being told im an old soul 😑
2. PAY IN ADVANCE
If you pay utilities, rent, phone bills, etc, in advance, not only is that financially smart, but it also means your essentials are covered during the strike.
@shivanihdesai13
I do understand that its hard for some people to get out of work and school, but I would hope people would try to organize for that rather than completely opting out. Such as holding a walkout, or working with coworkers/management to call out. (1/2)
7. INFORM
Spread information. If you find unions in your area, spread it. Resources to help strikers, spread it. Orgs that help those we're supporting, spread it. Keep informing, lack of knowledge is what they want. They want us ignorant.
6. DONATE
Donate to legitmate sources prior to the strike so that none of the fallout of the strike falls on the people that needs our help. Don't move the economy during the strike.
@Yamatsuo_
@kalenchi_
If you have any resources I'm open to adding them! Its on all of us to band together and help each other out, also many mutual aid networks are regional so do please look into ones in your area and spread that info around!

@shivanihdesai13
That being said, participating in some of a strike, is better than not at all. If you truly can't find a way out of work or school, don't make purchases unless absolutely essential, dont support brands that contribute to genocide, and speak out loudly. (2/2)
{🧵} A Thread of Helpful Resources & information - For 🇵🇸, 🇨🇩 , 🇸🇩 , 🇾🇪, 🇸🇾 , 🇭🇹 , 🇵🇷, 🇺🇦, Tigray, Tibet & Hawaii (others that I’ve missed will be added aswell)
I am so so grateful that you guys have all shown so much support for this strike! Plese leave your ideas and resources in the thread comments, and keep sharing it around!

4. "Scheduled strikes don't work."
Any attempt to fight back against gen0cide and oppression is worth it. Any dent we make is something. Doing as much as you can afford to is better than being silent. If people can only afford to do it for a week, don't condemn them.
Thank you to everyone for spreading the thread! Let's keep it going, and please if you have any ideas or resources comment them and I'll add them! ❤️

//I NEVER WANT TO HEAR ANYONE SAY THEYRE JUST ONE PERSON OR THEIR VOICE WOULDN'T CHANGE ANYTHING AGAIN!!! I HAD LESS THAN 100 FOLLOWERS AND LOOK AT HOW MUCH REACH MY VOICE HAS!!! WE'RE NOT FREE UNTIL ALL OF US ARE, KEEP DOING THE WORK!!!
1. Strikes don't work if only the well off can do it. People need time to save up money, to find mutual aid in their area, to plan time off work/school.
2. During economic strikes, eventually, people need to buy food or necessities. This means that people can sometimes only participate for so long. I would rather have a designated time for participation for people than have them opt out entirely.

if anyone wants to be pinged when i post the infographics, comment below! a few people have already asked but this will just help me keep track!
This person expressed valid concerns regarding an account on the infographics. I was misinformed by someone I had previously assumed was knowledgeable about the genocide in Sudan. The RSF is an armed miltia who had Sudan under siege for 10 months.
#globalstrikesagainstgenocide
@alien_bunny_
When I look up rsf all I see is posts talking about how awful the rsf is
And today a lot of Sudanese accounts have celebrated the fact that their resistance forces managed to push back the rsf
3. This is a guideline for people who want to participate. If you want to strike for longer, I highly encourage it. If you can afford to strike for months, your efforts are so invaluable.
@cloudiorchid
You can, of course, celebrate your birthday, but please do remember to still speak out about the multiple gen0cides going on globally. As someone mentioned, it is possible to get shadowbanned for only reposting abt whats going on, so some filler/different tweets are fine. HBD!

@furinaintroject
I do think that getting A03 to shut down is a worthy effort. However, we need someone else to take up the task they've held up. Destroying literature, even if fanmade, is something I can't get behind. I would suggest we make a new archive to house everything while we depose A03.
@buddingblossoms
Thank you for spreading info abt the strike and Bisan's calls for marching! Please link my infographics, as those are the official ones, thanks!
Hey everyone,
I'd like to apologize for my absence. I have been struggling physically and mentally on and off for weeks, and so was taking time away from social media. That, however, doesn't mean I stopped supporting Palestine. I am still boycotting, donating where I can.
Hey why don't you get Jewish people out of your mouth and instead find a brain surgeon to reconnect your synapses for you? Absolutely stupid beyond belief.
This is the Thomas Sankara Center for African Liberation and Unity located in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. It's a Pan-African educational center. You can support their work by donating here :
