Big thread: Siegfried and Kriemhild's relationship in the Nibelungenlied and in Fate, the context of the era and their development, similarities, differences, theories about them
#FGO
Accidentally remembered about the fact FGO still has servants with 2015 year animations
I don't think it's relevant to talk about game improvements when there are characters who officially was forgotten because animation renewals didn't bring much money
A little Nibelungenlied fun-fact: Kriemhild is canonically really good in embroidery and she made clothes for Siegfried and co when they were planning to go to Iceland
Ototsugu was so real for making this canon🥹💔
Vol. 29 of Chaldea Breakroom is here! Vol. 29 features Kriemhild and an exclusive interview with Character Designer Ototsugu Konoe!

As I promised, a thread about Gudrun a.k.a. Kriemhild of Norse tradition, the last main character of Völsunga saga
Her biography, origins and interesting details
Here can be figured some murders, tortures and other medieval stuff, so be careful
#FGO
Releasing of the last volume of Apocrypha manga reminded me of the fact though I didn't like this manga itself it gave ONE! of TWO! existing pictures of Nibelungenlied(!) Brynhildr and the fact I am obsessed with her after almost 7 years
A couple of days ago I saw this beautiful dress in a shop window and couldn't stop thinking about it and today I came back to take a picture of it for reference and for some reason staff put this horrible bomber jacket on top of it i can't—
I was watching youtube on my phone with vpn because in my country it is almost blocked (videos are slowed af) so I couldn't look at references and decided to draw young pre-tragedy Kriemhild from imagination
I liked this book so much that I tried to visualize Gudrun in a sketch. I sometimes drew her before, but I was embarrassed to show it because I have a bit of hyperfixation on her and I feel ashamed of it.//////////.
I don't expect her to appear in Fate but at least I can daydream
On the other hand, Tolkien was very careful with the character of Gudrun. His son described in his notes that the Professor liked her very much. He compared Brynhildr to a June storm that thundered and passed away, while Gudrun's anger was predetermined by her fate.
Today i'm thinking too much about the fact that Kriemhild canonically loves vintage clothes and understand fashion history, and even if her dress is definitely victorian, her pillbox hat is from the mid-twentieth century (and is reference to Jackie Kennedy, as I suppose)
I was busy yesterday helping sister with her baby and was able to draw only at late evening, but I only managed to draw one sketch before I went to bed
I looked at it today and couldn't take my eyes off
In 2022, when my tablet wasn't broken yet and I was doing digital drawing, I even drew an alternative bogatyr skin for Dobrynya, because I actually love her🩵
#FGO
I don't like the way Dobrynya is made (I'm sorry), but I find her office clothes grade to be suitable because according to legend Dobrynya served the Kyivan prince Vladimir, so it's funny to imagine that all the bogatyrs were a bit of office workers under him
I just wanted to draw some Ebenholz doodle but he turned out to be too nice and now I need to fight for my life against my adhd to not burst between my fgo and arknights hyperfixations
Little salty about Dobrynya, actually
Her summer art looks kinda nice, but
1. It's copypaste of her usual artwork
2. She still is her artist's oc instead of being fgo original so even her profile points at inconsistencies in her appearance
When people tell me that my style resembles old anime it flatters me a lot, thank you...
I was born in poor agricultural village near to Northern Caucasus and grew up watching random vintage anime which my elder sister brought me from the city where she studied at college
And this Bryn I drew at 2020 April, in the first week of lockdown...sometimes it seems to me that I have begun to draw her less often, because I am afraid that I will never draw anything better than this
LRT: I watch with curiosity how Carmilla's FGO artist prefers drawing her without hair bang, they began to do it even before her summer ver arrived
She looks nice with this hairstyle but imo it's little saddening because Carmilla's original hairstyle was gothic and hot af
I like it when after a three-day art block with a taste of a nervous breakdown, the most beautiful face card I've ever seen in my life accidentally comes out from under my hand and I fall in love with the commission
Hello, guys, I need your help
I'm currently fighting my depression and need to go to my doctor to correct treatment path, but I have no money and didn't didn't finish all of commissions, so I can't take new ones
If you help me, I will be very thankful
