Two nights ago. It was late, and I was editing some work. My son comes downstairs and asks what I'm up to. After telling him, he puts his hand on my shoulder and says "I'm proud to be your son" he actually said that. It's been pooling in my mind since. Lovely boy.

Yesterday, I met HRH, The Duchess of Cornwall at Hay-on-Wye. We spoke about writing for children & the benefits of poetry. I collaborated with pupils from Hay Primary, creating a poem that they read to her on the day. Huge thanks to @hayfestival for this great opportunity! 😀📚

On the phone to ticketline; The guy asks for my address, so I say Pontypool. There's a pause. then he asks if that's where Fireman Sam is from? I say no, that's Pontypandy, and its not real but anyway. He said its been on his mind for years, where Fireman Sam lived. Now solved.

It’s Black History Month! Here’s a song called Oh Freedom, a spiritual that came around after the emancipation proclamation, freeing slaves in southern American states during US civil war 1863. It’s a celebration of freedom through the power song. #BlackHistoryMonth

Went to the grave of John Ystymllyn - Black Jack/Jac Du. 18c Gardener in Criccieth NWales. Sang him Vera Hall’s ‘Trouble so hard’. He sleeps in a beautiful place. He lived, loved and worked here. Not without grief, but with a spirit that still shines today. Diolch my friend!
