@LouLouMach Not exactly. You'd have to be selling an awful lot of secondhand stuff (or high value items) to trigger a tax charge. Completely agree, however, with making tax and compliance fairer.

@Sotherans It's also interesting how capitalist culture has instrumentalised labour, such that it sees "vocational" work as somehow inferior to "professions". Again, the root of "vocation" is a "calling", which has a quasi-spiritual feel.

My ideal writing residency is the travel money kiosk at my local Tesco. No one ever seems to use it, so I'd have lots of free time. I'd look busy, but no one would be able to see what I was typing. And if anyone did want currency, I'd say we'd just run out, sorry.
