Information won’t always be spoon fed to you.
But if you know how to find it, you will always be useful to any organization that you work at.

I know a lot of you guys are bootstrapped and are trying to figure out how to increase MRR month over month.
The answer is to invest into ad spend and expanding your SEO and advertising presence.
The more you invest, the faster you will scale.
One of the biggest mistakes I made was undervaluing my time.
You only get so many minutes every day.
Money can always be made and lost.
But time is always ticking either way.
Digital marketing is going to be key for service businesses in 2024.
Whether it is email, ads, or organic marketing, the businesses that use digital marketing are going to be way ahead.
The good news is, you can still get in early.
All you have to do is start asap.
Your greatest asset is not money.
It’s your time.
Most people spend their lives trading too much of their time for money.
But if you make it a priority to do the opposite, you will go so much further.
I see too many business owners ignoring technology.
The truth is that technology is your best friend.
If you can effectively use technology, you will stand far above all of the other service based businesses that ignore it.
Learn to use it as your ally.
Life is more than just work.
If you are not systematizing stuff to buy back your time, you are losing.
I promise you.
Treat your time carefully and it will pay back in spades.
Work life balance is important.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t have time to do outreach for 15 hours a day.
I prefer to build out systems to do the outreach for me, where I can set it and forget it.

It’s more important that people understand your ads than it is that they convey a ton of information.
Simplicity is always the way to go.
The best Google Ads are the ones that use natural language.
There is no need to overcomplicate things.
The important thing is for the ads to speak the language of the people that you want to do business with.
Facebook ads are overdone in this day and age.
Everyone is using them and they are becoming super saturated.
If you want to get any kind of edge with them, you have to be willing to be far more experimental than most people are.
Learn to work with offshore talent.
I regularly employ and interact with offshore talent.
They are hardworking, smart, and extremely loyal.
I couldn’t recommend anything more.
Setting up Google Ads in your business is one of the best long term decisions you could possibly make.
Once they are set up, they only require minimal tinkering.
You effectively have a machine that you set up once that brings you meetings forever.
Your advertising efforts should be where people are.
And right now, that is online.
Plain and simple.
If you don’t have a strategy for online, you are already losing market share.
Success is more about knowing what to do than it is about doing a lot of things.
If you focus your energy on the right things, you will progress much further.
And if you don’t know what the right things are, the answer is almost always to pay down your ignorance.

FB ads are simply too fickle.
They stop working randomly and need constant attention and iteration.

It is not super complicated, but it does take a little bit of trial and error.
You just have to be willing to tinker early on and then the power of google ads will be at your disposal.
Most Google Ads agencies out there rely on auto management accounts from Google.
We never use that because Google is very good at spending your money.
Sometimes we might agree with Google.
But we always make sure to do our due diligence first.
I know it can be scary to use ads platforms.
You may have had a friend that’s lost a lot of money running ads.
But I promise you if you take the time to learn HOW to use the platform properly, you will make an ROI.
Anyone who can follow simple steps can start a Google Ads campaign.
It is really not rocket science.
There is not nearly as much uncertainty as everyone thinks there is.
You just have to be able to do the steps correctly.
Avoiding technology is the biggest mistake you could possibly make.
The times are changing.
And the only way to stick with the curve is to find new ways to use technology in your business.

More specifically, it is clear communication.
If you can communicate clearly, you can get lots of people to trust you.
And if you can do that, the sky really is the limit on what you can accomplish.

They can literally print appointments for you.
And all you have to do is put in the up front time investment.
The best google ads campaigns start from thinking bigger picture.
It’s easy to get lost in the mechanism of the campaign.
But knowing your overarching strategy is what is more or less going to make the campaign work.
Most agencies focus on making you dependent on them.
But the best agencies focus on REDUCING your dependence on them.
They want you to become better at business and be more successful.
Family always comes first.
No matter how hard I work, I always make time for my family.
There will always be another business, another opportunity, another job.
But you only get to see your kid grow up once.
Stop trying to reinvent the wheel.
There are many best practices for skills out there.
Figure out what is working in the marketplace.
And become good at doing that effectively.
There will always be room to innovate later on.
When I first started putting money into ad networks, it was the scariest feeling in the world.
You are literally putting your money into something you can’t see and hoping it works out.
But I promise you, in the long term it almost always pays off.
Whoever says Google Ads takes too long to work is sorely mistaken.
Most Google Ads agencies are playing the game wrong.
And because of that, they take 6 months to get you up and running.
I have seen time and time again that Google Ads campaigns regularly add about 15 additional appointments to people’s calendar.
It is almost a science at this point.
If you have the budget for it, get in on it ASAP.
Starting up a Google Ads campaign is quite simple.
You don’t need to dive deep into any complex algorithms.
You don’t need to know SEO.
You just have to be able to think intuitively and follow simple steps.
I might have accomplished a lot of I didn't learn from other people.
But it would have taken me 5x the time easily.
Paying down your ignorance is one of the fastest ways to make progress in your business development.
If you treat your employees like set it and forget it assets, they will underperform.
But if you take the time to check in with them and give them the tools they need, they will overdeliver.
Never underestimate what an employee can do for you if given the proper attention.
The easiest way to grow a business in 2024 is Google Ads.
No other option even comes close.
All of the other options are either too flimsy, too expensive, or just straight up too tricky to learn.
Google Ads are the perfect place to start.
Ad networks are not the enemy.
If you want to win in 2024, you have to be willing to invest in them.
They will provide you with the scale you are looking for with your business.
All that you have to do is make sure that your approach is dialed in.
If you treat your customers well, you will go much further in business.
Money is not the lifeblood of a business.
Your relationships with your customers are.
A good Google Ads campaign can add another 15 or so conversations per month to the calendar.
And if you can close even one of those, you can be profitable on the whole campaign.
Seems like a no brainer to me.
Google ads aren’t supposed to work right away.
Anyone who promises you results in 30 days is scamming you.
But within a few months, you can make them work.
And that’s when you will see results that make facebook ads laughable.
Oftentimes, the answer you are looking for is more grit.
It isn’t more information.
It isn’t more courses.
It isn’t more mentorships.
It’s you not being afraid to put the pedal to the pavement.
Any agency that takes 6 months to get you results is scamming you.
A truly effective strategy will take you 1-2 months max to set up and get going.
Especially if you are running Google Ads, 2 months is pushing it.
Every niche is different.
But the go to market strategy for a lot of niches are somewhat similar.
Especially when it comes to local service based businesses, look at what other businesses are doing and emulate that.
Information is all around you.
You don’t need to spend time trying to find it.
You need to spend time developing problem solving skills.
Don’t develop a reliance on info.
Develop a reliance on figuring things out.
Sales is the backbone of every business.
You could have the best product in the world.
You could have the best customer experience.
You could have the best appointment booking mechanism.
But if you can’t sell, none of that matters.
Take every opportunity seriously.
You never know when something can really make you a strong ROI.
Even if the opportunity doesn't seem like a fit right away.
If you open your mind, you will be surprised at what it can do for you.
Everyone should be using digital marketing in 2024.
It is the single best way to get in front of potential customers.
Nothing else even comes close.
If you aren’t using it, you will be left behind.
Most Google Ads agencies are ripping you off.
They charge you monthly retainers when in reality only minimal modifications are needed for your campaign to keep bringing your results.
Instead, just hire an agency for a fixed setup cost, and then manage the campaigns yourself.
Don’t expect great things to happen too fast.
The biggest mistake I see is people wanting great things to happen for them very very quickly.
The reality is that there usually is a lot of trial and error involved with that.
And it takes time for that to happen.
You have to spend money to make money.
Being too tight with your money is a surefire way to fail in business.
The best business people are good at knowing what risks are worth taking.
Google ads is less about doing anything fancy.
And it’s more about not making serious mistakes.
As long as you avoid the big mistakes.
Your money will be put to good use.
As you scale, the hires you make will quite literally make or break your business.
If you hire well, your business will scale to heights you could never even imagine.
If you hire poorly, your business will take a nosedive into the ground.
