Today Brev is acquiring
@agora_io
A couple months ago, a competitor signed up for Brev. I reached out to see if there are ways we could work together
We signed mNDAs, saw identical roadmaps, started working together, had a clear culture fit.
They hit the next flight to SF 🤙
@akashnet_
and
@ovrclk_
has been extremely supportive of our efforts since Day 1!
We were a group of students who couldn't find any GPUs anywhere we looked. One day, we stumbled upon Akash and after doing some initial reading, began asking numerous questions in the Discord.
Quite on the contrary— I would strongly urge builders to start building on
@akashnet_
and developers in need of compute to check out GPU offerings on or
have had nothing but the best experiences with Greg and team.
@FoundryServices
There is no platform in the world that allows you to deploy Jupyter Notebooks on
@akashnet_
, other than Agora.
And you can get started in <2 min! What are you waiting for?
Introducing Agora, a cheap & easy platform for AI development! Starting off with supercharged notebooks, we are revolutionizing building in AI/ML...
Let's dive in 👇
We've built a Fine-tuning -> Inference Pipeline on
@akashnet_
!
Take an open-source model like LLaMa-2, fine-tune it on your dataset, and deploy it for inference (all powered by decentralized compute)🚀

BIG BUILDER ENERGY INCOMING
Today, we’re pumped to launch 100 Builders🔥
A 4-week virtual cohort of 100 hand-picked builders to come together, code, build, collaborate, and win prize money from our amazing partners.
We've got some really cool features to make using Agora frictionless & compatible!
- Ability to connect Google Drive & upload existing Colab notebooks, datasets, models, etc.
- Source cheap, high-performance GPUs from decentralized networks, including
@akashnet_
.
- Built-in
Have you ever hit the dreaded OOM (Out of Memory) error in
@GoogleColab
? Frustrated with the performance restrictions of the T4 GPU?
With Agora, you can start an instance with your
@GoogleColab
notebook already loaded in! It’s literally as easy as 1 2 3...maybe even easier tbh
Did you know with Agora, you can mount storage to any Lab with just your Gmail account?
We made it so easy for anyone to connect Google Drive to our platform and:
- upload datasets, models, notebooks
- save Agora lab and sync all work
- have access to storage for their Labs
You can now SSH directly into Agora👀
We got feedback from many users asking for the ability to SSH into instances. Well, now you got it!
This revolutionizes how to utilize the platform - you are free to build and deploy outside of Jupyter Notebooks now :)
Thanks to
@semafor
for featuring our work in advancing the decentralized compute space forward! DM us if you're interested in accessing GPU compute for a fraction of the cost 🫡
Blockchain and crypto have been criticized for years as a “solution in search of a problem.”
Now some industry entrepreneurs may have found the problem: A shortage of compute power needed to train AI models.
That’s why we created Agora - a straightforward and cheap solution to AI development leveraging the Jupyter stack. Here’s how it works:
1) Create an Agora Lab w/ your custom specs.
2) Mount your Google Drive for storage/uploads.
3) Launch JupyterLab instance and get to work!
People have already been using Agora for sandbox-style experimentation work, like fine-tuning models for different tasks, testing different Agent frameworks, speeding up embeddings for personal notes, and more!
We’ll be sharing some cool examples of what users are building on
Check out our open-source repo here:
We want to highlight the capabilities of decentralized compute - let us know if you're interested in harnessing cheaper compute for your LLM tasks!
Introducing AkashML.
High-performance GPUs are in high demand and distribution is the answer. Access NVIDIA H100s from $1.99/hour — powered by the first open-source Supercloud.

@akashnetAI
We tried to fine-tune Llama a few months ago & realized we needed GPUs. All of our work was on Jupyter Notebooks/Google Colab, but dreaded OOM errors made them unusable.
As students, paying for the Pro version to find high-performance compute or renting GPUs from cloud services
Agora has been developed with the input of hackers and engineers, with inspiration from tools such as Colab and Sagemaker. We’d love for anyone interested to try it out and would appreciate any feedback!

Begin your AI/ML development on Agora today - we built the platform for this reason!
Give us your feedback and help us bring it to AI/ML devs everywhere🫡
@VeritusLabs
, we're bridging the divide because we believe your digital identity should reflect your journey. It should be in your control and represent who you are.
Let us know what you think!
We've created a RAG Colab notebook so you can try this for yourself in <30 seconds!
It uses the
@MistralAI
Mixtral MoE model on 2 RTX-8000 GPUs (for less than $1.6/hour!)
