Consulting Pursuit Lead at Deloitte and also a marathon and ultra runner and cyclist. Qualified Run Leader (LiRF). Dad to two lovely girls. Sunderland fan.
@BlackpoolFC
All Sunderland fans united behind you on this. Obviously I don't know if it was a Sunderland fan but its utterly irrelevant. Everyone should come together to stamp this nonsense out. We need the social media companies to step up. For what its worth - Ward was excellent last night
@secondtierpod
Not sure if I'm just a sensitive type but this is pretty needless in my opinion. You've won lad, you've scored a legendary goal, why are you going out of your way to make this point on every post game interview you do? Your own fans had written you off at 4-0 down let alone Duff
@RokerReport
Personally I ignore the name Bellingham and see him as a 6 foot plus athletic specimen who has played 26-odd championship games before even turning 18. Remove the name and he's still an exciting prospect based on that. Not fair to judge him vs big brother.
@Capt_Fishpaste
Not being funny but if we’d signed Orban and Mayenda played how he did today but with the name Orban on his back, we’d be going nuts for our new signing. Brilliant performance.
18 years old! Fans of other clubs say he's overrated because he's called Bellingham. The reality is that if he was called Smith and doing things like this at 18 people would be going nuts about him. 18 years old. Rolls Royce.
@SkySportsNews
I mean its an absolute no brainer and I can’t imagine why any single player, coach or official involved with the game, wouldn’t be fully supportive of it. The only people who will moan are supporters on twitter. Even fans in the ground will barely notice.
@NetflixUK
cracking trailer that. Whilst other club's fans are understandably thinking its hilarious to see us "bottle it", we already know where we are and what we've done. we've lived through it. this is kinda cathartic in a way. And it's brilliantly made by
@Fulwell73

This will be why the Orban to Sunderland move fell through. Fulham have come in late for another one of Lyon’s strikers. Lyon probably couldn’t afford to lose two.

🚨⚪️⚫️ EXCL: Fulham agree deal to sign Ernest Nuamah on permanent move from Olympique Lyon, here we go!
Verbal agreement done, working on the paperwork to be completed in time.
@FulwelI
@CackStottie
They’re also acting like Patino is some school kid when he’s only 2 weeks younger than Doyle who’s been starting all season. Don’t think they’ve even mentioned his name

@tomsafc
as actual members of the board at Sunderland, is this our official stance? I'm confused as to why the only thing us fans are hearing from our club is from our (very) minority shareholder who resigned from the board nearly a year ago
@Capt_Fishpaste
4) Chris Rigg likes to get a foot in. Looks like an adult footballer. Like already
5) Russell Martin has learnt a lot
6) Don Goodman likes Russell Martin
@RokerReport
Bridle Insurance are new sponsors and the new kit is all red. For every 3 home games you attend next season you can get an extra loyalty stripe added to your kit for a processing fee of £20. Alternatively you can buy the deluxe kit for £250 which has the stripes pre-ironed on
@hanniemona
@parkrunUK
the most important advice for your technique is you need to take both corners of your mouth and push them upwards and keep them there the whole way round. It will feel great.
@Capt_Fishpaste
whisper it quietly (I know I'll get jumped on for this) but I think we may have landed on a pretty great thing here. Two coaches renowned for developing youth at the top level, working together with this squad. Not what we wanted. Maybe what we need.
@englandcricket
So we force Jimmy to retire so that we can build for the next Ashes series, then pick two fast bowlers who will be aged 36 when the next Ashes finishes.
@GNev2
Well actually, the 6 need to engage with the 14 to get to the agreement. they don't have the votes without the 14. it's not for the 14 to make concessions here. The 6 need the 14 for now, not the other way round.
@Capt_Fishpaste
Signing Isidor and telling Caen we don’t need / want Mendy any more is literally the perfect tactic to get them to reduce their asking price. This one isn’t over until the deadline shuts. A game of chicken.
@b_daws19
@SkySportsNews
She was caretaker manager, I’m really confused by the media’s reporting of this story. Person gets appointed as caretaker to start preseason whilst a permanent manager is found. It happens all the time yet media reporting it like she’s been replaced / sacked
@SportsPeteO
if he's actually going there for talks, and not on the phone, thats him done for me. I know thats a ridiculous nuance to take - but there's talking to them out of courtesy and then there's walking out on the club less than 24 hours before a big game. he won't recover from this.
@JamesCopley_
Class difference is obvious but expected. We aren’t quite at our best but effort levels tremendous. Dan Neil looks every bit a premier league player. Ballard can’t be blamed for own goal. And overall, so proud of our club.
@SkySports_Keith
@SkySportsNews
Jim - the SAFC of 5 year ago WERE in the EPL. Never been more ashamed to be a Sunderland fan and we've had enough reasons to be ashamed. This is simply astonishing mentality. We are being run into the ground by people claiming to be saving us.
@PAJamieGardner
@ConnorBromley
One would think a competent organisation like the EFL would check in with the unions before getting a law pushed through. Oh... wait.
@_withoutalcohol
In the nicest possible way, you have to realise nobody gives a stuff about you. they won't even notice you, and if they do, they won't care or bat an eyelid. And for people that do pay attention, you will be inspiring them. It's brilliant that you're out there running.
@RokerReport
Think people need to realise you can be proud of this team and the way they’re playing and fighting and be frustrated / disappointed by the missed opportunities. This team are giving their all and no matter what its been a brilliant season. Does that mean I’m not frustrated? No!
@Capt_Fishpaste
Arguably winning games when not playing overly well as well, like last night. Any other season last night would have been a draw or defeat.
@Capt_Fishpaste
My take is Speakman had done a great job until the last year. Execution has been poor this year. Strategy right, execution poor. Both of recruitment and decisions about the head coach position. I still back the intent of “the model” but I don’t think we are doing it very well.
@RokerReport
Putting everything else to one side - lets all take a moment to celebrate Arbie's return. What a champion. How he's coped throughout the entire pandemic period in a new country and a ridiculous injury. and now he's back. good lad.
@Capt_Fishpaste
too many coincidences for me. too many players, coaches and potential coaches leaving us with a bad taste. look at Pritch. look at Neil. look at the digs Mowbray made. Now this. Too much coincidence on Speakman's watch. He's clearly not treating people or the situation very well
@paulwsutton
@TalkNorwichCity
One of several clubs who are going to massively benefit from our chairman selling off kids on the cheap to pay himself back for buying us 😞. He’s a cracking lad - look after him
@JamesCopley_
Seriously - him describing fans as being "outside the club" is going to go down even worse than the fact he can't see why there's a problem
@d3d4football
@LutonTown
Even as a Sunderland fan who they look like beating us to promotion, it’s hard to not be pleased for their fans that they’re on this amazing journey after such crap times
@Capt_Fishpaste
Seriously - him describing fans as being "outside the club" is going to go down even worse than the fact he can't see why there's a problem
@milesSI
Literally just ordered a computer (havent had a personal one for a year or so) just so that I can go back to playing FM - as the escapism helps with my anxiety which has naturally flared up big time. so definitely pleased with this.
@RokerReport
This is unbelievable. Apart from the incredible fan blaming, my favourite bit is where they say money ain’t a problem and they could spend tomorrow if needed, THEN say we can’t start the season without financial assistance or supporters back in place
@JacobHorsfall_
Hamer is the best player in the division for me. Dennis Cirkin goes massively under the radar due to his injuries though. He's a Premier League left back now.
@christoph_21
My turn.
⚽️ still in best financial shape in the division
⚽️ have bids in for players but will depend on season start date
⚽️ offered Jon McLaughlin and Bali Mumba huge deals but both turned them down
⚽️ Madrox have put in way more money than we were expecting to at this point
@JonathanPlace1
@RokerReport
his point was that we don't have a divine right to be promoted. There are plenty of other big clubs that didn't. didn't say bigger. he was saying us saying we are a big club is irrelevant.
@Capt_Fishpaste
Agree. KLD isn’t some businessman spotting an opportunity. He’s a football fan who’s had the fortune to be able to run a big football club. He’s in this for success. His route to that success is just different to what many fans want. His decisions are real life not fantasy
@crewealexfc
@SunderlandAFC
Sunderland fan here - you deserved to win that I think is the understatement of the year. Two worldies from us but you outplayed us. Best of luck for the season.
@FootyAccums
@sunderlandafc11
No - it’s succession planning. Speakman said we would do it. Mowbray said we would do it. We had our manager leave us out of the blue earlier this season and the club committed to always having options lined up. Doubt it’s more than that.
@RokerReport
@SunderlandAFC
@KenSpours
Say what you like about Ellis Short but I think this absolutely nails the fact that if it wasn't for his generosity we wouldn't have a club now. His footballing decisions can be questioned all day long, but his generosity and intent shouldn't be.
@SunderlandAFC
to people thinking we should have signed him - the clue is in the language used. "all parties mutually agreed". In order for us to sign him, Michut had to agree to sign. Just because we'd agreed a fee doesn't mean personal terms, nor personal wants, had or would be met.
@d3d4football
First Sunderland player to score 4 goals at the stadium of light and the first Sunderland keeper to save 2 penalties at the stadium of light, in the first match that our new billionaire owner has been at the stadium of light. Good day for Sunderland fans for a change!
@Phil__Smith
I love how much Mowbray bigs his players up. They must feel a million dollars. I wish I had him give me a call after work each day and tell me how good I was and how much he believes in me 🤣
