Sunderland have sold 35,000 tickets for Sheff Wed semi-final 1st leg on Friday. The 38,000 attendance for the game v Doncaster in Feb (week after they lost 6-0 at Bolton) will be beaten. That's biggest crowd outside PL this season. Aiming for 45,000+ for Friday.

For those questioning, on the final whistle Serge Aurier stayed that side of St. James' alone, took boots off slowly and then appeared to offer a prayer to the skies. It wasn't long but by then the pitch had nearly cleared. Certainly no lack of respect/affection from team-mates.
