Omg reading the comments: โYou no what would be cool? If they made the iPod so that it was so thin that they would have to patent special wireless headphones because the iPod was to thin to have a headphone jack on it. That would be sweet!โ ๐คฃ
I finally realised, in all of my ungratefulness, how lucky I am to have found my passion for iOS and programming. The joy I feel, the challenges, the satisfaction. I never thought I could find anything that would make me feel so whole and complete. Iโm happy ๐
How absolutely amazing it is to see how bloody FAST can someone brand new to iOS see their first app come to life thanks to SwiftUI!!!! incredible incredible incredible

Just put up a first list of speakers and topics for this year's iOSDevUK conference.
Still got 10 more speakers to add when they confirm they still want to talk.
Make compilers cute again โฆ ๐ I had the most amazing time at
#PragmaConf23
and it meant a lot to me to speak in my home country of Italy. Thank you everyone, from the speakers to the organisers, to the amazing attendees!!! Itโs been an incredible conference!!
I used to handle breaching out of my technical comfort zone by avoiding it at all cost. In the process of becoming a mobile infra eng, something had to change. I want to demystify mobile infra, & share my experience on how I changed my mindset and learnt something which scared me
@seanallen_dev
At my work we do something super cool, every week we watch a WWDC video (old or new) together and discuss it afterwards. Makes learning the material a constant process and helps you absorb it better, as well as improving critical thinking. Organised by
@gigisommo
โจ๐คฉ
@twostraws
Also dear conferences please do what
@IOSDEVUK
did last year. They temporarily re-opened the CFP when they only received 2 female speaker submissions. I only applied when I saw they were asking for more female speakers and I did so only because I wanted to increase the pool ๐
The one and only
@twostraws
teaching is all about METAL SHADERS and SwiftUI!!!!! I love this talk, Paul is taking such an esoteric topic and explaining it thoroughly but in such an accessible way. Absolutely inspiring and so FUN.
#PragmaConf23
Omggg Iโm so excited to share this!!!!
@elliotblackburn
and I started a podcast!!!!!! The Fresh Engineer is aimed towards junior/aspiring engineers trying to find their pace in this industry. Here is the trailer!!!! First episode out super soon!
A must see in your ios life is
@bionik6
live coding and most importantly live debugging. He has SUCH a cool positive attitude โitโs ok, no problemโ๐ฅน really encouraging. He is so knowledgeable and at the same time entertaining and just the best!!!!!!!

@swift_leeds
I arrived late at
@nyswifty
because of some frankly crazy circumstances, but here I am finally listening to
@mbrandonw
whoโs absolutely acing his tapo โTake control of your dependencies, donโt let them control youโ
Amazing to hear
@0xTim
about the Server-side Swift State of the Union!!! With a cheeky mention of our amazing open source library XCMetrics๐
@SpotifyEng
Swift Playgrounds are fantastic for one unexpected reason: theyโre helping me get rid of the type of perfectionism that would get me to abandon projects right away!! It feels like playing and itโs super fun.
I have no words,
@structured_app
by
@leoMehlig
has done it again. One of the most fantastic apps Iโve ever used, and this beta feature is game changing. ๐ฅนโฅ๏ธ
Today I dug up an old project of mineโฆ oh the memories ๐ฅฒ the abominable code I wrote seven years ago ๐ฅฒโฅ๏ธ the storyboard with literally 12 view controllers all connected togetherโฆ
What an amazing day at
@swift_leeds
yesterday! I am struggling to find the words, so all I can say is thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone โฅ๏ธ to the organisers, the sponsors, to incredible speakers and to all attendees. What an honour to be a part of this community
Wow, here I am on the train back home, and I canโt even begin to describe this feeling. Letโs attempt anyways lolโ๐ผ. First of all, I feel so grateful to
@IOSDEVUK
for organising an incredible conference where everyoneโs passion was so palpable and overflowing with positivity.
Here's one that saves my ๐ฅ when working in larger Xcode projects:
Shift + Command + J
It automatically finds the current file in Project Navigator and focuses it for you ๐ซ
Less than 4 weeks to
@IOSDEVUK
!!!! Im so effin scared the last time I spoke on a stage was 7 years ago and I was chatting about amyloid nanofibers ๐ฅฒ
Are you an iOS developer looking for a new adventure? Want to work > 1 hour away from this?
A great friend of mine is urgently looking for an iOS developer to join his friendly mobile team in Trento, Italy.
Looking for mid or senior level! DM me for details ๐ค๐ค๐ผ

Well, weโve sorted the first 30 speakers for iOSDevUK.
Still some more to come, but as the page says, the list will probably also lose a couple of people before September, if only because they go to work for Apple before then (it keeps happening).
Wow,
@nyswifty
just came to an end and I gotta say Iโm so incredibly impressed with the talks Iโve heard and so amazed by the brilliant people I met. I really have no words but thank you everyone โจ๐ค๐๐ป
Finally itโs June 5th!!! The most important Monday of the year!!
