I had an abortion and it was a very easy decision that I will never regret. It was not a hard choice or a sad experience and the narrative that abortion is “hard” is not true for the majority. Be mindful not to stigmatize abortion with your language.
I had an in clinic Abortion aka a surgical abortion. People deserve access to whatever kind of abortion they need/whatever is best for them. Only protecting abortion medication is STILL limiting access! Clinics and in clinic care should not be an afterthought!
Yes, protect access to medication abortion but ALSO protect our clinics, protect in clinic abortions, protect our providers! Protecting abortion medication is not enough! Much like roe being the floor, we need and are demanding more.
“If Roe falls in June…” babes she’s already fallen down the whole staircase! It’s just the last step!
Donate to an abortion fund! That is how you can help!
When you talk about states facing extreme anti-abortion legislation and say "just move," what you're ACTUALLY saying is
"I don't give a shit about poor people."
Adoption Is NOT a universal alternative to Abortion!
PSA: Adoption is an alternative to PARENTING.
Abortion is an alternative to PREGNANCY.
Forcing someone to remain pregnant and to give birth is reproductive coercion and oppression.
I got to speak to
@ewarren
about abortion stigma and how every abortion isn’t a hard decision and how that framing is very stigmatizing. She heard me out, agreed, and promised to do better next time. I love this woman.
Abortion is not a moral issue, it is a healthcare issue and I think the movement does our work a disservice by constantly trying to appeal to morality. Especially the morality of the white religious moderate.
OHIO! Please tell everyone you know to vote YES on Issue 1! This election will come down to turnout. Every year we hear “it is more important now than ever to vote” but I’m telling u right now besties: this is Ohio’s only shot to save abortion access!
#VoteYesOnIssue1
Don't stigmatize abortion in attempts to find middle ground w folks who are opposed to bodily autonomy!
Don't say things like
"Abortion is always a difficult choice" or
"Of course no one ever wants to have an abortion"
It's not true & it stigmatizes a safe medical procedure!
Banning abortion is a direct attack on bodily autonomy. They will not stop there. Birth control, Sex ed, LGBTQIA+ rights and protections are all next. When they come for one they come for all. Solidarity across movements is VITAL.
Reminder that police lie.
Reminder that even IF someone steals, a bottle of liquor should not cost you your life. Police are not judge or jury but far too often, gleefully, take the role of executioner.
Black women and Black Lives Matter.
Fuck the police and fuck the FOP.
I asked an idiot wearing a MAGA hat to tell me what a clit looked like and he didn’t answer for a few moment and then said
“No one knows all of biology.”
Okay, Brett.
From the deepest parts of my soul, fuck SCOTUS, fuck anti abortion zealots, fuck clinic harassers, fuck red state legislatures and FUCK these abortion bans.
When Roe fell, it was abortion funds and practical support orgs that made sure people still got the care they deserve, not national orgs that don’t even know the name of their local fund.
Abortion should be free of hurdles, including stigma, shame, financial, logistical, and distance-related barriers.
All people should be trusted to know their lives and bodies, and to get the healthcare they need, when they need it, on the timeline that works for them.
I love repro. I love my friends and family who give their lives for abortion access. I love those who ask for ways to help and lift us up every time our government oppressed us. I will never stop loving this movement and despite everything, I remember why more than ever today.
I cant sit in another meeting to “share our feelings/trauma” where exec leadership talks about being burnt out because of zoom meetings while field organizers talk about eviction, police brutality, no access to healthcare etc and act like we’re coming from the same place?
We did it y’all! 🎉
With 495,938 valid signatures,
@OURR2023
’s reproductive freedom amendment has qualified for the November 2023 Ballot! ⚡️
Thank you to everyone who helped make this milestone happen!
Read the release here:
When you're young and enthusiastic and filled with fire and passion for a mission? Don’t give it to a nonprofit that will siphon and burn it away for funders, organize your community with the people doing the real work.
Happy 4/20! 🌱🔥
If you are not working toward the decriminalization of weed, the release of the primarily Black and brown people behind bars & destigmatization, you don’t deserve weed!
Ohio is the only state that has the opportunity to flip our state Supreme Court this November!
If you are feeling disillusioned by the top of the ticket, you are not alone but you can make a real impact by voting down ballot for local and state races!
For years in repro, Black organizers have been brought into spaces for their “expertise” and then are gaslit, not listened to and used as props to shield white leadership from backlash of their choices.
So BLACK WOMEN deserve to be centered in convos re: issue 1. We did that.
When I was pregnant in 2015 I didn’t know that abortion funds existed & had to wait weeks to be able to afford my abortion.
Financial barriers are some of the hardest to overcome to receive care. Join me in supporting Ohio’s statewide abortion fund

submitted nearly 2x the sigs needed for Nov’s ballot. We’ve been working for months collecting signatures, busting stigma & spreading the word that Ohio is ready to FIGHT for abortion access!
We DID IT YALL!🤪
Vote YES 11/7 & donate to your abortion fund🤍
You can get an abortion for any reason you want. You do not have to be upset or ashamed about it. There is no good or bad abortion, it is simply healthcare.
Ohio Women’s Alliance is the ONLY statewide Black led Reproductive Justice organization in Ohio! We have spent all year mobilizing Black and brown voters and having crucial conversations! Support our continued work toward liberation 🩷

Some standout data on abortion support from Ohio's exit polls.
1. Black voters were the strongest pro-abortion block, with Black men (88% support) and Black women (80% support) leading the pack, followed by 'all other races' (63% support).
Im proud of Columbus tonight. We held high/broad for hours until CPD left.
They towed our cars, shot wooden bullets, brought out the paddy wagons and zip ties, they arrested us, maced us.
We are not intimidated by Columbus killer cops fear tactics.

We actually don’t need to reduce abortions :) People deserve access to as many abortions as they need AND access to healthcare and education.
Things that reduce abortion stigma? Watching your mouth.
Things that reduce abortions:
•Access to Birth Control
•Sex Education
Things that do not reduce abortions:
•Yelling at people
•Calling people murderers
•Praying
•Restrictive Laws
•The GOP

Just Incase anyone forgot, I am PRO ABORTION. I love abortion. Abortion is amazing. Abortion is dope as hell. There’s nothing wrong with abortion. Stop adding stigma to a normal medical procedure! Are you ashamed to get your wisdom teeth removed?
I just really want young activists and organizers to know that you do not need a formal education to do this work.
Academia will not save us. In fact, it continues to hold up white supremacist systems.
Theory is useful, but you gotta put the theory to practice.
Reminder: forced vasectomies or any kind of sterilization is *eugenics*
Eugenics is a dark, disturbing part of white supremacist history & is still being done to Black/brown communities. Language is important.
Reproductive Justice is the framework for ALL reproductive freedom
Stigmatizing a very common, very safe medical procedure like abortion does nothing but make it harder to access. Abortion is not always traumatic or a hard decision and we can talk about it openly without forcing an entire movement into one small narrative.
Shaming people for not voting is icky behavior! Gaslighting communities by telling them it’s their fault they’ve been disenfranchised is not the move! Voting is only ONE part of civic engagement!! It’s not the end all be all!
It seems like no one is paying attention to how fucking bad abortion access is getting except for people in repro. No one cares! It’s fucking infuriating, I feel like I’m scooping water out of a sinking ship. like can y’all sign a petition or something damn 😩
Policy change does not happen without culture change. Destigmatizing abortion is VITAL to protecting abortion access. Say the word abortion, talk to your friends and family about what’s going on in your state. Listen to abortion storytellers.
I wanna follow all the abortion hotties if you’re an abortion hottie holla at me (idk maybe like this or whateva) so we can be friends.

Frank LaRose's last three elections...
Aug '23: Campaigns for Issue 1 (raise constitutional amendment threshold), it loses by 14%
Nov '23: Campaigns against abortion rights amendment, it passes by 14%
March '24: Campaigns for U.S. Senate, finishes third
Calling all Ohio voters! If you see any “vote no on issue 1” signs left over from the aug special, please take them down!
The reproductive freedom ballot initiative from
@OURR2023
is now issue 1! We need everyone to vote YES on 11/7!
Help us combat confusion & misinformation!

Highly recommend screaming at the top of your lungs by yourself in the car to cope with the constant anxiety from CONSTANT abortion bans being introduced
