Sirianni is keeping Jalen Hurts in a game down 42-19 so he can rack up yards for his MVP case
But Dak Prescott is the one who gets accused of stat padding 🤔🤔🤔
Cowboys WR Michael Gallup was not a practice today to attend the birth of his new baby....
Congrats to him and the mother
Congrats to the baby for coming today and not next week this time
#DallasCowboys
In the regular season, Josh Allen had 1 fewer interception than Dak Prescott and 9 more fumbles; also higher turnover worthy play rate.
In the playoffs, Allen had 4 turnovers to Prescott's 2. Both went 1-1 in the playoffs.
One is an MVP finalist. The other is "not good enough"
Let's see if I've got this right.
Josh Allen v Jets: 70.7% 236 yds 1 TD 3 INT 1 fumble lost
Patrick Mahomes v Jets: 60% 203 yds 1 TD 2 INT
Dak Prescott v Jets: 81.6% 255 yds 2 TD 0 INT
Which one is the overrated turnover machine again?
Wait, so we're *not* going to talk about Patrick Mahomes having 3 TOs and losing to the terrible Broncos?
So that's really only reserved for Dak Prescott huh?
If the Cowboys and Eagles both win out the rest of the year, they'll be tied in
- overall record
- division record
- conference record
So the next tiebreaker would be strength of victory, which is the combined win % of teams you beat.
Currently, Philly leads there, but...
Ngl Mike McCarthy and Ron Rivera going trading shots at each other in the press has brought back a certain level of spiciness to this rivalry that's been lacking for a long time
Dak Prescott completing 62.5% of his passes for 249 yards with three backup OL in the game - two of them making their first career start - is not even in the top 10 of reasons why the Cowboys lost today.
Let's not do this
While he wasn’t necessarily the sole reason the
#DallasCowboys
lost, this is the kind of game that reminds me the Cowboys rarely win games because of Dak Prescott. Everything around him has to go great.
You can’t only score 16 points against the Arizona Cardinals.
Remember when people were saying Dak Prescott was garbage because he struggled in 2018 before the Amari Cooper trade?
Those same people are now saying Aaron Rodgers needs better WRs in order to play well, and that the Packers aren't doing enough to support him.
Hmmmmm
The three most sacked QBs so far this year are Carson Wentz, Joe Burrow, and Daniel Jones.
Two of those guys have played the Cowboys already. One plays the Cowboys this week.
I've defended Kellen Moore quite often over the years but this was probably his worst game as a playcaller.
Dan Quinn and John Fassel also turned in uncharacteristically bad performances too.
Dan Campbell reaching out to Matthew Stafford, who's already one foot out the door, just to get his take on the state of the franchise is the type of thing that endears this coach to his players.
It's why he's going to get buy in from his guys sooner rather than later.
"I don't get too high when we play a really good game."
Brought to you by the same coach who cussed out Colts fans following a win and said "How bout them Eagles" after beating the Cowboys with a backup quarterback.
Nick Sirianni is the biggest chump in football.
Eagles HC Nick Sirianni said they'll take loss to Saints "one day at a time."
"I don’t get too high when we play a really good game. I don’t get too low when we play a really bad game. We played a really bad game today, offensively."
Who would've guessed that the trio of Johnathan Hankins, Leighton Vander Esch, and Anthony Brown were the ones holding this defense together?
Can't stop a nose bleed without em
The Rangers beating the Yankees in the game where Aaron Judge hit number 62 is the baseball equivalent of the Cowboys beating the Giants in the game where OBJ made that one handed catch.

@BlakeGriffinSzn
Just ask your self when has dak show us that he can win with him just passing majority of the time dont worry I'll wait but guess what Wentz have and I'm a die hart cowboys fan but we have to be clear
Putting the Giants ahead of the Cowboys is a curious decision.
If only there were some way to know which team was better. Perhaps if they played each other head to head?
Alas, the world may never know.
Darius Slay is seeking a trade while the Eagles are facing a likely reality of losing James Bradberry, CJ Gardner Johnson, and Javon Hargrave in free agency.
And they're breaking in a new DC, as well as an OC on the other side.
Regression is coming
Dak Prescott, throwing in the rain, completed 54.2% of his passes. But he had 4 receiver drops, highest of anyone in Week 1 (pending MNF).
Also, important note: no interceptions and no turnover worthy plays.
Lamar getting 1st team over Dak is probably a good indication of how the MVP vote will go
So, likely no MVP for the quarterback who put up the best numbers all year, but a close second is at least something
@benbbaldwin
This is like in high school when you're taking a test you didn't study for and the first question is super easy so you get over confident and then just light the rest of the test on fire
- Anthony Barr
- Malik Jefferson
- Mackensie Alexander
- Trayvon Mullen
- and now Xavier Rhodes
So many defenders Dallas has added this year with either direct or tangential connections to George Edwards. Likely speaks volumes about who they trust to replace Dan Quinn.
La'el Collins has played like a borderline top 10 RT the last 3 years* and has just a $10M AAV (28th among tackles).
If you can't trade that player, it's because you suck out loud at your job.
Pair a great QB with a consistently strong defense/special teams and that team will win Super Bowls, plural.
Inconsistent defense/special teams? Highly unlikely.
Which QB's have been betrayed most by the other sides of the ball?
@SandoNFL
weighs in:
The Cowboys recorded 28 pressures yesterday against the Jaguars. That's the most they've had since Week 5 vs the Rams.
PSA for those who are acting like there was no pass rush yesterday
Wow.
According to TruMedia Micah Parsons ranks 5th among all defenders in pressure rate through 4 games.
Ahead of Clowney, Danielle Hunter, Von Miller, both Watts, Khalil Mack, and Chandler Jones.
A stronger Neville Gallimore would do wonders for this defensive line.
He has legitimate 3 down potential in this league, something Dallas has lacked for a long, long time.
DT Neville Gallimore told me he put on 16 pounds of muscle while maintaining his mobility. He wants people to pop in the tape this season and “see a dog” think Grady Jarrett. Rather be underrated but respected. Focusing on his eyes, pass rush and improvement in run game
I thought the Cowboys might target Markquese Bell with their 6th rounder but they get him as an UDFA.
Highly athletic, versatile safety with tons of upside
Do you ever cut or trade away good players for cap space? Efficiency analysts call it "quiet tanking" and this millennial trend is devastating the Dallas Cowboys.
I have no idea how the Cowboys/Chiefs game will turn out but this is easily the best chance we've had in a while to get another 2013 Cowboys/Broncos type shootout and I honestly hope we do
The strength of victory for both teams is subject to change, based on what other teams do. In short, the Cowboys should be rooting for these teams to win:
- Lions (except vs DAL)
- Jets
- Seahawks
- Panthers
- Chargers
So many Cowboys defenders played great but we shouldn't overlook how much of an impact Brent Urban had in the game last night.
There was a reason those Philly RBs only had 3 total carries all game.
The Cowboys draw Shawn Smith's officiating crew for the Jaguars game. In Smith's 5 years as a referee, he's only called one Cowboys game thus far.
That was earlier this year, a home win over the Commanders, where Dallas was penalized just 4 times to WAS's 11.
