Pat McAfee gets some pushback, and some of it is rightful, but nobody on ESPN has talked more about the NHL than his show during the season. Today alone, nearly half of his show’s airtime was about the NHL, with Steve Levy and Ryan Smith each making 20 to 30-minute appearances.

I genuinely can’t remember a time where the NHL was in a better position than it is now. Stanley Cup Playoff ratings are at all-time highs, all playoff games are on national TV, and we have two excellent broadcast partners to go along with that. The NHL’s future is very bright.
