When Billy Joel was a month old, he suffered from severe conjunctivitis, which led to the rupture of his right eye. He underwent an enucleation to remove his right eye. Now, Billy Joel is recovering & is looking for a new place to call home! Stop by the SPCA to meet Billy Joel!

Our team recently rescued a woodchuck from the Buffalo River. The woodchuck was found clinging to a ladder and was rescued by SPCA agents. The woodchuck was cold, tired & hungry but unharmed. After spending a few days with the SPCA the woodchuck was released at a nearby location.

(1/2) Another example of the SPCA putting compassion into action happened last month when Hayzel came into our shelter. Hayzel had been hit by a car, resulting in a severely broken leg. Hayzel's leg was later amputated to give her a shot at a happy, healthy, normal life.
