Gleyber's error yesterday was a big reason for the loss and blown save by Holmes. Instead of holding onto the ball he sends a throw into the Yankees dugout. This allowed Julio Rodriguez to score and they lost the possibility of a double play as all the runner advanced a base.

John Cruz deservers more love. He's an 18 year old OF in our system who played in the FCL RKL in 2023. He led the FCL in RBI (47) and finished 2nd in the league in HR (10) in only 48 games. Definitely a player to keep an eye on this season. Here's a Grand Slam he hit last yr:

We’ve seen this since 2018. Aaron Boone is not the right manager to get a team on track during a skid. He doesn’t get the most from his players (I.e. Gleyber) and if they sign/ traded here they tend to regress (Rodon, Montas, Gallo). I’m ready for his tenure to end.

The outfield is clogged and we have better defensive options than him out there. He’s also log jamming the DH position. I’m not even convinced he can play 1B, but I’d like to see them attempt it in order to add a bit more flexibility for this team.

Could he be good? Sure. Will he be worth $325MM, I doubt it. Did him and his agent play the entire east coast markets to raise the Dodgers bid? Most certainly. Will I be rooting for him? Not a chance in hell.
