The Warden of Goldsmiths just wrote to the students to tell them that average salaries for full-time staff are £47262 she failed to mention that the average is brought up by SMT's inflated salaries, or that many of our peers are employed in part-time, insecure contracts.

I am saddened to see how humble our expectations for universities have become, we should demand change for good, but not one limited to less metrics and bureaucracy. We need an entirely different funding model, I want students, not customers.

After subjecting them to a lifetime of debt we're now forcing students back to unsafe campuses and halls of residence for £££ And we'll still blame the young for spreading the virus. No wonder their mental health is at crisis point. Students deserve better

One of the weirdest things about the dispute at Goldsmiths is people from other HE institutions that went through restructuring 10 years ago and now offer generally awful conditions, not realising this and offering condolences like GS is somewhat exceptional or pioneering.
