The train is full. The next train is cancelled. The train after costs £184.70 for a single. There is no WiFi, and the shop only takes cash. Travelling Avanti - only marginally preferable to crawling from London to Manchester. TLDR: Strikes aren’t the problem on our railways.

Planning my trip to Liverpool, and I’ll never not be staggered at the eye-watering cost of train travel in the UK. It’s not that people don’t want to use public transport, they just can’t bloody afford to. This 👇🏻 is a weeks worth of wages for someone on highest minimum wage!

Arcuri received £126,000 of taxpayer money during her affair with Johnson. It appears Hancock gave deals to Coladangelo’s relatives. This, in addition to contracts and vast amounts of public money being handed to Tory mates. This is not a sex scandal - it’s a corruption scandal.

Funding the NHS properly would be a much better way to honour him.

Incredibly powerful gathering for #KillTheBill at Scotland Yard. We have just had a minutes silence for the women killed on the police estate.

I NEED EVERY UCU MEMBER AND SUPPORTER TO RT THIS Universities have started to offer pay day loans instead of putting a real offer on the table. This is utterly scandalous. We have members struggling to put food on the table and they think acting like Wonga is the answer 😡

This is a video that I never thought I’d have to put out. Or wanted to put out, but here we are. Women’s bodies are not discussion points for men.

If you grew up in a comfortable household you should watch this. Being poor is expensive. There are multiple ways poor people are scammed. Utilities & housing just one eg where poor people are disproportionately exploited. Use your vote in this general election to change things.

Alternatively, and hear me out on this one, we could abolish the monarchy, and redistribute the money to fund early childhood properly. We don’t need to raise awareness about child poverty - Marcus Rashford already did that - we need to spend money to eradicate it.

@grantshapps Those ‘archaic’ rules you hate reflect historical progress. They allowed workers the right to chose between rest and work. At least be honest that you want to take that choice off workers, rather than presenting the rolling back of a century of progress as ‘modernisation’.

Beyond the carving up of vegetables, the thing I can’t shake about this image is that they’ve put the food in coin bags. I’m appalled. They haven’t even bothered to use hygienic storage. Another dehumanising hallmark of bureaucracy. They don’t think poor kids deserve dignity.
