Now that VRChat has Aim Constraints, we can set up properly functioning twist bones to help with pinching in the wrists or elbow areas. This video demonstrates the effects of that.

This is still pretty WIP and not fully functional yet... But I'm working on UI 3.0 for XSOverlay. This update will move all UI to be outside of Unity, in the form of a web application. This means you, the user, can customize it however you want.

Do you use substance painter? Do you paint stylized models? Do you hate having to select the "Base Color" dropdown? Do you wish "Base Color" existed with Opacity? Here's a shader for Substance Painter to fix that for you. You can thank me later.

I have to say, sometimes using playing media's album art for the theme really pops off on the color selections. honestly might be one of my favorite features I've ever implemented for real.

xstoon fur update come soon with better method for LONG FUR also thinking about making a grooming tool so that you can literally comb the direction you want the fur to go onto the mesh. still wip, might be a bit before it actually gets released..

XSOverlay will soon be getting a Wrist UI overhaul, and will let you import custom assetbundles as themes for various parts of the UI (for now, just the wrist, i will be releasing an SDK soon and updating the docs page!) Here's a sneak peek!

This month's patron shader has been released! Here's a preview of it in action! The shader is fully commented and goes over the process of creating it as well, like last time! This will be improved soon, when av3.0 hits the live VRChat branch as well!

Pssst. You guys ever wanted an inventory in VRC? Toggle-able objects? Well, my editor script makes it as easy as 1-2-3. Just set your avatar, drag in your objects, and boom! Instructions are in the "Intructions.txt" file. :)

Constellation shader releasing now on Patreon. You can do a wide variety of things using this shader. You can look like a starfield, or go full memes, only limited by your creativity, and a sprite sheet. It does support animated sheets btw. GO GO GO!

probably final layout before this goes to live. Center of FPS bar shows target, anything above it goes past the center, anything below target is under the center of the bar. Shows current total ms / target now, and CPU / GPU timings are accurate. Now also shows GPU / CPU temps

Since VRC8Ball was archived and will no longer be support by the developer, I will be publishing a slightly updated version to my GitHub today. The only changes I've made are fixing the shadow plane shader, so that you no longer need to have the table at Y = 0.

I've released a small, fun update to XSToon in light of the KDA music video! This update allows emission to scale with the brightness of your environment! Here's some examples! Fully Lit, Half lit, and Fully dark!

Youve never seen grass pushed this far in VRC before. Hell, you may have never seen it pushed this far in any game before. Even BoTW doesn't do grass this dense. I'm even making a dynamic wind system for it that allows you to control the wind speed and directions.

Duplicate heads to make shape keys? Yeah, no thanks. I'll stick to my AFK method. This is a much faster workflow. Bulk of time spent doing the rigging. After that, keys are *fast* to make, then you just afk for a bit while the script does it's thing. Pretty ez.

New audio occlusion system with debugging and it supports internal volumes within rooms. Wall thicknesses actually matter. Amazing. Thanks to @kegeenkhg for helping me test and being a rubber duck for like, hours.

I find it funny how bad of a public image VRC has, but to me it literally is what gave my my job in programming. XSOverlay would have probably never existed had it not been for me getting addicted to VRC and meeting the people that I did. Hell, I may not of even had VR.

If you ever wonder why updates to XSO have been taking forever just remember that I had to build an api. Soon(tm) this API will be public for Web Applications to use, once those are released. As of the next beta update, the API will be available to external tools, with docs!

Since I'm releasing the grass shader this month, I've spent some time really polishing some things up. One of those things is lightmapping support. You can have the grass with baked lighting! Wew!

Guys, I know the beta is buggy. It’s a beta. That’s why it exists. Bug reports are fine, but being aggro about it is not fine. Would you rather the software never got updated? Don’t opt into a beta if you don’t want bugs, and don’t start trashing it and me. Simple as that.

I think something some people haven’t realized yet is that memory usage has gone down significantly since the new UI updates and will only continue to do so. XSO went from taking 300MB of ram / vram to close to around 120ish. That is a huge amount of freed up resources.

Yesterday I learned that juggling in VRC isn't as hard as real life and now I have an addiction. Maybe I will figure out the three object juggle through VRC. Two is already hard enough though without feeling the weight of the objects.

Yes, I am passive aggressive, but only if you start with it. I have, in the past week alone, gone out of my way spending hours to help users debug issues because they came to me in a calm, polite manner with their issue. It's not hard to have decency. Developers are humans too.

There’s been some reports of XSOverlay being blocked by EAC, Vanguard, and similar This is due to the permissions required to monitor CPU temp, and sometimes CPU usage Because of this, I will be removing CPU temperature monitoring this week. Sorry for any inconvenience.

I’d really love to know how people have energy for more than a couple of hours a day. Feels like I’m drained after even 5-6 hours of being awake most days. Perhaps my burnout is worse than I thought, but sitting around and doing nothing is boring.

@Acerola_t I don’t think it would have sadly. Ark dropped 10 years ago almost. Everybody loved it despite the fact that it was riddled with issues + they launched multiple DLC while it was in early access. Companies have always and will continue to do these types of things

I've successfully put together a fully functional tamagotchi in avatars 3.0. You have to care for it or it dies. The persistence is a blessing as well. I'm very happy.

You can now lay down and maintain your layout. Also, if you grab a window that's rotated and you're within the limit for "laying down" it'll just automatically rotate to the right orientation. If you're not within that limit, then it will be flat and aligned properly. :)

XSToon 2.0 is out! This release is a complete rewrite from scratch of the shader! Lighting should now be more consistent across every lighting scenario, and you should be able to edit the shader easier! You can find it here, or by using the updater!

Because I remodeled my face, I decided to remodel the entire thing. I reduced the bases poly count by around 7k triangles, and it looks overall better. The topology is so clean now. I'm very happy with this. Might Booth it after I make an outfit👀
