In 1967 a local Working Men's Club at Worsborough chartered a train for an outing to Cleethorpes. The Worsborough branch being freight only with no passenger stations, required passengers to access the train by means of wooden steps. © P. Howard

40 years ago Today. 17th June 1981. Due to a points failure the Huddersfield to Sheffield Midland passenger service which went through the closed Sheffield Victoria was terminated there. These incredible pictures show passengers being escorted through the ruins of the station.
