all my feed seems to be lately is ads and nothing really bookish related :( so if you see this you HAVE to say hi and you HAVE to share your current read I don't make the rules
proof that buying and reading books are two unrelated hobbies:
I've not touched a book since Friday morning
I've also brought 2 books at tesco over the weekend
When I got my new books from waterstones yesterday, the guy asked me if I wanted a receipt so I said yes, bcos I could use it as a bookmark when I started reading in the car.
The guy then pulled our a huge handful of card bookmarks and told me to take as many as I wanted😭🥺
goodreads: you spelt a word wrong but it's still distinguishable to what you wanted to write???? tough, good luck finding the book you wanted now!!!!!!
storygraph: oh you spelt a word wrong???? anyway here is every book in your TBR that has the word we know you meant to write :)
If you don't want to put your Christmas decorations up until December that's fine, but PLEASE can you stop judging people who are putting them up in November.
Where are my ppl that absolutely adore reading but know they could never write a book bcos they just don't have the imagination to (or is that just me)
How I think I look reading: pretty, smart, studious 🥹
How I actually look reading: triple chin, squashed into the most uncomfy looking position, probably fuming cos I've been interrupted 🙃
we have brought a house!!!!!🏡
my books will no longer have to be double stacked on their shelf because I will have actual space to put them out I feel like I'm dreaming (except this is their current state as I'm mid packing🥲)
How HOW are people joining book clubs?! I'm the biggest mood reader ever and would probably wouldn't be in the mood for the pick, not to mention the PRESSURE of having to read by a deadline????? I'm sweating just thinking about it🥲
I used to feel left out bcos I didn't read the latest releases & a lot of the books I review are older.
But the longer I've been on here the more I've realised no one cares!!!! S
o long as you have fun reading what you wanna read everyone is super supportive & happy for u💛
or people are just reading books that don't have smut in them????? like it's not that deep, if I started reading a fucking crime thriller and it had smut I would be fuming. I wanted a murder not a fucking shag.
why is it easier to write a negative review instead of a good one????? like if I don't enjoy a book I'm typing at 100 mph to give my thoughts but if I enjoy a book I'm literally sat there for 4 working days trying to think what to write
My cousin, who claims to have a self help & anxiety blog, has basically said that all you need to do to not be anxious is get a "good night sleep and eat healthy" THERE U HAVE IT FOLKS, UR ANXIETY IS CURED WITH A BANANA AND A NAP!!!!
I'm curious about your reading habits as fellow readers, so pls if you see this vote in my poll!!!!
I may use it for a blog post aka I'm tryna think of new content and u folks are helping me👀
I finished a book???? An actual book??? I'm so proud of myself June feels like such a failure compared to other months in lockdown and I think I'd just burnt myself out a little bit but I'm so glad I actually read something
I washed my hair upside down last night and while it's made it feel cleaner and softer and given it more volume I won't be making a habit of it because at one point I felt like I was being fucking water boarded🫠
I have this thing where I get obsessed with the 99p kindle deals and I buy loads of them despite the fact my tbr is already over 100 and I'm just adding to the impending sense of doom that I will never read all the books I want to read in my lifetime
Pls just know if you've ever interacted with one of my tweets I absolutely have referred to you as "my friend on the Internet" even if that's the only interaction we've ever had x
Me to myself: you've only read 2 books this month that's abysmal what do u have to say for yourself?!
Me to others: it doesn't matter how many books you read this month, reading is something to enjoy and not put pressure on ourselves to read loads of books, ur amazing💛
sometimes self care is a bubble bath and other times it's putting away the pile of clothes that has been growing and changing your sheets that have been on for far too long and that's okay
2018-2023.
I was incredibly unhappy in my body and had no idea how to move forward, leading me to create unhealthy habits.
To now, where I have healthy habits, I lift weights for FUN, and I don't bully myself (most of the time).
It took time but it got better💛
2018-2023
my ex broke up with me after cheating on me for months, claiming he just didn’t love me anymore. i was only a year into my crohn’s disease journey and still sick.
now i’ve travelled alone, had my heart broken more times than i can count, but i’m healing 🫶🏻

(P.s. yes that is a sticker that is PRINTED ONTO THE BOOK, I'm not happy about it either)
I am not made for the hot weather I'm sweating already it's only 7.20am the bugs are out and my eyes are that puffy I can barely open them (thank u hayfever) I cannot deal with this
I don't understand why people are against trigger warnings...
They don't spoil the book, but if you think they're going to spoil it just don't read them and crack on w/ the book.
It isn't that hard.
