The White House review of “U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan” offers little that is new. It is more of a coverup for poor withdrawal planning and sheer incompetence. Biden administration indeed had limited space to maneuver after Trump’s Doha deal but the timeline of US blunders
The China brokered resumption of Saudi Arabia - Iran diplomatic relations is a big deal but a lot more has to happen to improve regional security. Unfortunately, the huge investment in sectarianism and entrenched geopolitical rivalry cannot vanish into thin air suddenly.
