The Venetian Pool is now officially open for 2023. The city’s iconic Mediterranean revival-style pool will operate from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 4:30 pm. The Pool is fed by spring water from an underground aquifer and is refilled daily, with over 82,000 gallons of water.

Today, I partnered with Clutch Burger to serve lunch to 110 employees at our Public Works Dept. our sanitation crew, facilities dept & automotive workers are behind the scenes every day collecting our garbage, trimming our trees, maintaining our fleet/facilities-they do it all.

Opening Friday, July 13 at 6 pm, Giralda Plaza will be transformed into a vibrant and colorful art experience with the installation of the Umbrella Sky Project. Continuing over the next two months, hundreds of umbrellas will gently sway over the newly transformed Giralda Plaza.

This morning both my girls asked me if I wanted to be their Valentine as they gave me a thoughtful card & gift. They really put a smile on my face & made me feel very fortunate to have 2 beautiful girls & my incredible wife as part of my family. Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone!

This morning, after years of planning we broke ground on our state of the art LEED Silver Public Safety Building. This 50 million dollar building will be the headquarters for our police and fire rescue personnel & will improve rescue response times to our North Gables residents.

Since March 27th this subject has been vandalizing the Coral Gables with anti-Semitic graffiti. Today, Coral Gables Police Detectives arrested Benjamin Garcia. Thank you to the Dept. for their hard work. Anti-semitism and vandalism will never be tolerated in our community.

Great morning in Coral Gables planting mangrove pods. For the next few months, our girls will nurture these pods in preparation for final planting in a designated coastal location in the City. Mangroves protect shorelines from damaging storm & hurricane winds, waves, and floods.
