Eventually tearing down a player mentally will stop working & U will lose the respect from them! Many coaches forget or ignore the significance of the mental side of 🏀. Tough love? Yes. We also have to be able to listen, teach & be there for each player in many different ways.

Laying the groundwork & loving to teach the game! I got paid to shoot 3’s & rebound but I took advantage of mismatches & made a killing in the post over my 20+ years of playing 🏀. If U get the body, hands, feet & eyes ready in the post.. the reads become easy & you can feast!

I’ve found over the years the mental side of 🏀 is still #1 . Ppl talk about it but it’s not worked on nearly enough. Getting your mind right is a constant, never-ending discipline. It’s a battle. A fight. Finding some1 that’s able to relate to U from their experiences is crucial

Spent time last night w/ an assitant on a NBA team & his only job IN GAME is to stat 50-50 🏀’s. HC actually uses the stat for halftime adjustments & w/ post game film breakdown. Go ahead & keep thinking this stuff doesn’t matter, it actually does on some staffs NBA/College/HS

Right around 100 players got after it today! Talented young ladies in the morning session & over 80 young men in the afternoon. College players were a huge help teaching and speaking “the life” of a college player. @MikeSautterOWH my guy, another great camp! #lovewhatUdo
