Water levels @ the Wrightsville Dam have been monitored for the last 2 hours. No significant changes have been seen. State officials are in contact with the onsite dam safety representative who believes minimal increases can be expected.

Moretown fire chief Stefan Pratt has called for Moretown village residents to evacuate to higher ground. Rt 100B is closed at Freeman Hill and Stevens Brook Rd. People being advised to stage at top of Moretown Mtn Rd. near Common Rd intersection.
It seems odd that VT conducted 18,372 tests on Jan. 7 to report 2642 cases yesterday on Jan. 8 and then conducted only 1055 tests on Jan. 8 to report 203 cases today.

UPDATE: Firefighters are alerting village residents to be prepared with 3 days of food and 10 days of medicines and fire fighters will sound emergency alert from the fire station when it is time. Moretown town officials are working on where they will go.
Moretown officials are preparing for the need to call for evacuating the village. Select board chair Tom Martin says the next 90 minutes are critical. Waitsfield will open its emergency shelter at the elementary school for Moretown people if needed.

Is anyone else hearing about long delays in PCR testing results coming in? We know of multiple people who were tested on Thursday, and Friday who have not yet received any kind of results from health department.

Gov. Scott says VT has highest # of 5-11 year olds scheduled for shots, per White House call this week. VT getting an additional 3900 doses as well as 5100 doses already allotted for this week. Dr. Walensky. As of this am 14K kids signed up for shot or have gotten 1 dose.

Every single high school graduate from Vermont, even those who live in Vermont and go to school in New Hampshire, are getting a gift this year. The community college of Vermont (CCV) is giving out one free course (of students choosing) to high school graduates this fall.

The USGS stream gage on the Mad River was 99.6 cubic feet per second (cfs) yesterday afternoon and 103cfs last night. 386cfs at 5am and 658cfs at 6am. The line is going straight up. Gage updates hourly.
