The Vermont National Guard held it's annual POW/MIA Remembrance Ceremony today at Camp Johnson, in Colchester Vermont. POW/MIA Remembrance Day, also known as National POW/MIA Recognition Day, is observed in the United States on the third Friday in September each year.
D Co 3/172 Infantry - MTN of the 86th Infantry Brigade Combat Team - Mountain culminated their Annual Training by working with a CH-47 Chinook Crew from the 10th Mountain Division. They moved vehicles and Soldiers through the air using sling load techniques to establish a new AO.

The Order of Saint Maurice, established in 1996 and is awarded by the National Infantry Association and the certificate is signed by the Chief of Infantry of the U.S. Army
Vermont's Adjutant General, Gregory Knight, along with the state's recruiting leadership, hosted a crucial meeting with Region 1 Leadership. The primary focus of the meeting was to address challenges in recruiting and explore ideas to streamline MEPS.

As we continue to bring supplies to towns in need make sure to check in with your local town center, shop, or school for resources that could be available to those affected by the flooding.
