I just saw a midwife talking about performing VBACs (vaginal birth after c-section) in a birthing center. OUTSIDE of a hospital. AWAY from physicians. Y’all, don’t do this. If your baby needs help, you have 60 sec to begin resuscitation. Being “close” to a hospital ain’t enough.

As an intern I told my fave OB nurse about my experience. She said, “Please, don’t do that again. You’ve done everything right for nine months. It would be a shame to throw it all away at the end.” Next time around, I listened. Had that baby via midwife, INSIDE the hospital.
