Concerns & fears are raised about traveling out of Nigeria as a person living with #HIV . Some countries don't accept non-citizens who are living with HIV they deport them if one tests positive. This is wrong & we hope for more progress & safe spaces for people living with HIV.

Though no cure for HIV, yet, the treatment we've is very effective to outlive the virus, to reduce it to undetectable and untransmittable levels. We've HIV long-term survivors and they're a good example that the treatment is effective even more now that we've one pill.

HIV diagnosis is not synonymous with being a failure in life or that you're wrong or you did something wrong. HIV is like every other health condition, though not curable, it's both effectively manageable and treatable, and if the daily ARV is taken as prescribed, it can be U=U.

We don't have an HIV cure, yet, but we're optimistic that science will come through. While at that, we've ARV, a pill if taken once daily will slow down the progression of HIV & it won't do any damage to the body, & one won't infect another which is U=U & it works effectively.

Antibiotics do not cure HIV. #ARV is the only treatment of #HIV . If taken daily as prescribed, it reduces it to #Undetectable , making it sexually #Untransmittable . #UequalsU isn't a cure, but a very controlled HIV that one lives without risk to anyone. To treat is to live.
