Dylan Crews 2 Strike approach. The best hitters adjust pitch to pitch & to the game situation. First 2 strikes are for Dylan Crews to look to do damage & drive the baseball for extra bases. The 3rd is for the LSU Tigers. Spread out. Foot down early. Be on time. Refuse to K!!!
Tommy White 2 Strike approach. Spreads out & eliminates lower body movement. Let’s baseball come to him. Part of why LSU was so successful last year was there ability to up & down the lineup with 2 strikes become tough outs. Lean on pitchers. Get pitch counts up. Refuse to K.
I’d never let my kid play for this guy ⬇️ Ripped a reporter for asking the question/just doing there job. Then said he “took the Texas A&M job to never take another job again” to go on to take the Texas job the next day after being in the College World Series Final. How much
Mike Trout Cage Work. No crazy gadgets, No short cuts to make him good. Just thousands of reps & mastering his craft over a lifetime. Focus & execution. Back up the middle with backspin. MLB players. Please keep posting your training so more people can see !!
In the cage with CJ Abrams. “I’m never trying to pull the ball” … Absolute gold right here & how your practice work should look. Grooming the path for what will work in the game.

-Staying on the line of the batters box

2 weeks ago I was released from the Chicago White Sox organization after being with them since 2019. I’m looking forward to the next chapter in life whatever that may be!!!

Anthony Volpe NY Yankees.
Big adjustments from last year. What I see, Short & inside. Looking to drive low line drives the middle/other way instead of chasing the power by muscling up, allowing pitcher to provide the juice. Look how much tighter his bat stays off the back
Are you starting ur load early enough to get your best swing off? If not, the swing will naturally break down as the brain tries to make up 4 not being in a good position to hit. Many of the best hitters start the loading process at hand break wether that’s a toe tap or leg kick.
When are you starting your load?
—Most of the games best hitters start there load & get into a ready position to hit before the ball leaves the pitchers hand.
—Starting your load when the pitchers hand breaks is a good cue to go off of. Every single pitcher has to do this to
College ⚾️ coaching should be unionized. All coaches should have minimum salaries of 40k & benefits. No volunteers, no stipend based assistants. Have to be able to give the young people without financial backing a chance to chase their passion. So many good baseball people being
Adrian Gonzalez working & grooming his swing for what will work in the game. Not trying to create crazy exit velocity or hit the ball hard in practice. But creating an efficient swing that will work in the game. Short , inside, through the middle of the field/pitcher. Great
Great example of how cage work should look. Inside everything with good direction towards the middle of the field. Well balanced and under control! (Lenyn Sosa)
The shorter you can be with your swing & still find barrel will allow you to have the ball travel deeper into the zone & gives you more time to decide if you want to swing or not. Allow the pitcher to provide the power.
(Luis Arraez, Miami Marlins)
Charlie Condon Georgia Baseball Home Run Record Holder.
Great example of staying on the back side & good extension with the path. A lot of the best hitters in the world if you watch there swing in slow motion, the back knee will turn & point back towards the catcher right
In 2022, I led the entire South Atlantic League (High A) in batting average. & Was top 10 in many other offensive categories in the league. This is how I did it. ⬇️
I had a routine, I did the same drills every single day in my cage work, regardless of the results I had the day
When I went 2 Chipola they probably didn’t expect me to play.. Ended up hitting 4 hole by the end. When I went to UCF people thought I wouldn’t start. Hit 3 or 4 my entire career. When I got drafted they thought I’d be a filler & play 1 year, hit over .310 & won batting title.
Great example of how the timing of your load can change your career from the 🐐 Jose Bautista.. Slow & early be waiting for the fastball!

As a senior sign. I had regular ABs 2 times during my career in MiLB. ‘19 & ‘22.
During that stretch in 146 games played had 156 hits & slashed .295 , 34 Doubles, 5 3Bs, 15 Home Runs, 90 RBIs, Fielded near .1000 at multiple positions. 👍
Looking to play this upcoming season.
If you had to boil it down to one, what’s the most important offensive stat? “Average.” & "I think average tells you if you're a player who can get it done against a good pitcher." - Bo Bichette 🔥🔥
The game will soon revert to average & bat to ball. Once a whole team does it &
Hitters, if somebody is trying to tell you “Do this drill & you will gain 4 MPH on your exit velocity!” It’s just not true. There are no secret drills, no quick fixes, no shortcuts. You need to just hit the weights hard, eat, hit 5x a week & take a lot of swings, while doing the
Guys looking to get recruited to college/scouted professionally. You can get interest & catch somebody’s eye just by how you get on and off the field, how you take your reps in between innings, how you run on a weakly hit ball in play. You stand out bc nobody does it anymore !!
First Professional season is in the books!!!!!! had the best time of my life playing the game i love. Thank you
@Intimidators
it was a great group of teammates, coaches, and staff.

This past October I drove down to Florida to train in Tampa with my good friend & teammate Shill with hopes to get back to a good spot with baseball. We would train for hours in the mornings & work camps/practices for a travel organization in the evenings. It was all worth it!!
Being able to reset every single pitch..regardless of the outcome.. take a deep breath.. then channel ur focus into executing this next pitch with everything you got while believing your the best player on the planet. You can reach your ceiling as a ball player. Whatever that is!
Still 2 this day the most impressive/best overall package of a hitter I’ve seen in person was Rylan Thomas in 2018 @ UCF. He could spray the field light pole to light pole with power. But also shorten up & shoot a single in between 2b & 1st. Swing was so sick. Short n Powerful 💯
The Delay Steal! This is a great move for non burners to get into scoring position or take a free base. Goal should be to get a few more bags a year depending on length of season. When your opponent doesn’t think your a threat to steal bases, pitchers slow to the plate, the
Why most college ⚾️ teams underperform ⬇️
-They don’t hire the most qualified candidate, they just hire there friend or former player/teammate.
-Coaches egos are so big they don’t listen to qualified connects from there baseball journey when getting referred players. They think

I feel like I never see kids playing sports outside anymore.. My friends & I growing up would play whatever sport was in season as soon as we got off the bus. We’d go to war til the sun went down. Talking trash/competing/having fun… it helped me so much learning how to compete
Proud of the guys for buying in to hitting velocity/off speed from the big hack attack every day. The progress from the 1st day of the fall has been amazing!
We do our drills & cage routines prior but when we step on the field it’s competing for what we will see in the spring!
Finally got my degree in the mail today! Thank you to
@UCF_Baseball
and my coaches for giving me the opportunity to graduate from such a great university!!
Oscar Colas machine batting practice. Sliders & Fastballs.
Notice where every single ball is hit in this round. Not pulled for Home Runs which he can easily do. Focused on driving the ball to the middle of the field/other way.
Also notice his balance on every swing. 🚀💥
The shorter your swing can be the longer you can allow it 2 travel before making a decision. The longer you can wait to make a decision to swing, the better pitches you will swing at. The better pitches u swing at the more consistent hard contact you make, the better you will be.
Young players!! Play whiffle ball & tennis ball outside with your friends in the backyard as much as possible. ⚾️
When you take BP with a friend or dad. At the end have them pitch to try & get you out. Learn to compete & get hits! Not just BP Home Runs.
Scrap & compete to win!
Were all human beings. Sure some people might have a little more natural ability. But I truly believe with self belief and hard work you can do anything you want in life if you stay persistent!
High school & College baseball players. Be present!! Work your hardest but also have fun while enjoying the time with your teammates & coaches.
That is the best time playing ball in your life! The most pure baseball you will find where all that matters is winning. Soak it up!
