What a fantastic residential visit to London for our Year 5 and 6 children. London Eye, Thames River Cruise, Parliament tour, eating out at restaurants, The Lion King in the West End, Westminster tour and the Natural History Museum. A few photos to get started! More to come!

Year 6 felt upset for one of the children in their class because they had to self-isolate and missed the whole of activity week. They decided he wasn’t missing out on anything else and delivered some of today’s pizza lunch to his house! That’s what Tudhoe Colliery is all about!

A group of Year 6 children visited the final resting place of Arthur Corner today. Mr Corner was a teacher at Tudhoe Colliery, who fought for his country and sadly lost his life at the Battle of the Somme in WW1. They laid a wreath and held two minutes silence in his memory.

#EmpathyDay2021 has been brilliant! Year 3 designed their own ‘perfectly imperfect’ creatures after reading The Barnabus Project. The story helped us to explain why we should celebrate our differences and how we can support others when they are feeling sad or worried. 📖🐘🐭
