@PRGuy17 Suggesting people who have made their decision opposite to you are only based on lies is the reason so many are rejecting this proposal. If the tiniest amount of respect had been shown when presenting the proposal things might have been different.

@blakandblack I think the popularity of the Teal candidates demonstrated this very well. Sadly the Greens and Labor saw it as a vote for them but it really wasn't, it was a message to all political parties.

@Raymartin55 The only statistic that truly matters is 60% of Australians rejected the referendum proposal. Instead of wallowing, it's time for advocates of the proposal to take a good look at why they failed and come up with a better proposal. Hopefully without spending another $400million.

@mrseankelly The referendum was about making a change to the Constitution. Extrapolating that to anything else is ridiculous and smacks of sour grapes by those who failed to present an acceptable proposal.

@CroweDM @PatsKarvelas The issue is the wild abandon with which the term is thrown about. At this point in time racism means "anyone who disagrees with me". And THAT is a very broad spectrum. Being able to disagree is a crucial component of a democracy.

@9NewsAUS The work performed is the same and in many cases more efficient. You then add in the lower overheads and greater productive time (no commute, no chats in the tea room) and if anything you should be paid more to work from home.

@4mambo It's hard to imagine how Australia can move forward when so many can only deal in absolutes. At the moment we are being asked about changing our Constitution, but it is being conflated into so much more. Racism, the future of a particular group in the community etc.
