Hmmm… Brits generally refer to people as Asian when they are from Asia- the largest continent in the world. Bananas isn’t it? Nobody ever referred to JCdM as Asian once he was known to be Brazilian. Evidently, ‘Americans’ appear to think they are the only nation on 2 continents.

The word ‘vicariously’ is most often used to describe parents using their children’s lives to bolster their own self-esteem.

You don’t know they are posh. You don’t know that guy is hardworking. You don’t know he has a family, let alone one he provides for.
Is it me, or is there a bit of a theme emerging here?

It was a mistake. He also confused Scotland with Northern Ireland, twice. Either not enough, or too much, coffee would be my guess. I’m a Muslim called Anthony but if you mistakenly call me Andrew I won’t ask my Imam to issue a fatwah against you.
@darrengrimes_
A few times Darren may have been asked to provide 'un-British' ID:
Uni (before dropping out)
LibDem membership
Provisional driving license (I know..he's 27!)
Railcard (going back home to mam)
Passport (blue)
Bank (withdrawal of £20k to pay fine)
Police station (Starkey interview)

Only 6% of the UK land mass is built on. The ‘stuffed to the gills’ narrative doesn’t hold up. Our infrastructure is also better developed than the vast majority of countries too. We can and should take in more refugees.

My eldest son sat GCSE Latin a year early and achieved a ‘9’, in the new world of 9s (imagine my vicarious pride!}.
Less than a yer later, we tentatively suggested he might consider Latin as an A level subject.

The UK’s official religion is Protestant Christianity, the Church of England remains the STATE religion. The Monarch of the United Kingdom is the Supreme Governor of the Church. I assume you will be voicing your disgust at this obvious favouritism? You just want equality, right?

Funny that, I had two mothers but I only use a pre-modifier for the one that gave birth to me- ‘biological mother’. My actual ‘mother’ did all the mothering. Note how we can use mother as a verb- verbs don’t have sex or gender.
