Michael Block says “I felt more pressure than I normally do for some reason”
Might be because you said you’d be the best player in the world with Rory’s driving, mate.
I don’t care whether people think this is just for good PR. I don’t care whether Titleist will be accused of doing something for the sake of some publicity. Spieth and Titleist just made this boy’s life. They just gave him another reason to fight from the darkest of places.
I can’t believe they’re talking about Morikawa potentially being the first American to win the Race to Dubai, as a success story. He’s played two European Tour events outside the majors and WGC’s, and finished T68 and T71 in them.
It’s a tragedy.
Delighted to say that tomorrow I will be starting my full-time role with Oddschecker US, as I join on as Affiliate Operations Specialist.
Really excited to join a company I have long admired, and had the chance to work with since September last year on a freelance basis.
Three-straight winners for
@OddsCheckerUS
Hoge 60/1
Scheffler 33/1
Niemann 66/1 & 60/1
All after Zalatoris lost in a playoff at Torrey.
Nice to have it in both the early leans and Longshot articles.

Rory McIlroy cashes as First Round Leader at +2600!
Billy Horschel (+5500) also finished the day in T2 for the 1-2 finish 🥇 🥈
Profit secured for the week 💰✅
I spoke to Joe Mayo last night, he said it did not take Viktor long to make the needed adjustments and fall into a rhythm. Off to a great start, it’ll be interesting to see how the week unfolds.
So pleased for Francesco Molinari. Previously known as a perennial underachiever. In just one season he’s put that to bed. Wins Stateside, wins the flagship European Tour event, wins his first major AND THEN becomes the first European to go 5-0-0 at the Ryder Cup. Bravo 👏
👨🎓 Did a thing today…
Officially graduated University with a 2:1
Nice to get to the end, as part time study alongside work is a SLOG.
Very happy the hard work and perseverance paid off.
Xander won Scottish Open at Renaissance and Travelers in 2022
Cantlay loves Travelers, 4th at 🏴 Open
Spieth - Travelers winner, 10th at 🏴 Open
Reavie and English T3 at California US Open’s then won Travelers
MW Lee - T5 last wk, T6 at Players (Pete Dye), 2021 🏴 Winner
Keegan Bradley has held the First Round Lead 10 times in his career. On three of those occasions, Adam Scott was his playing partner
Bradley has also been paired with Tiger on Thu/Fri in three PGA Championships. He’s broken 70 on Thu twice, one of which saw him sit 6th after R1
@Daniel_Rapaport
It’s still ludicrous.
“I don’t want to play my best golf and finish 15th, I’d rather just beat club professionals”
He’d KILL to be a player who could post multiple top 15 finishes a season on the PGA Tour.
Matthew Baldwin just absolutely destroyed the field to win his first DP World Tour title.
He’s been a pro for close to 15 years.
He won on the Challenge Tour 12 Years ago - no wins since.
Maiden DP World Tour win at 37 years old.
What a story.
Great work
@mattbaldwin26
Sergio Garcia has played the PLAYERS Championship 22 times, playing every one since his debut.
20/22 cuts made
18-straight cuts made
Insane considering the level of event and volatility of the golf course.
Was 90/1 last year, he led after RD1, 3rd after 36, and finished 9th.
With Cam Smith and Cam Young defecting, it is now impossible to say “no one leaving is a major loss”.
You are losing arguably the player of the year, and the hottest rookie.
Smith in his prime. Young plenty still to offer.
Huge losses.
Due to forecasted high winds on Sunday, tee times for the final round of the Genesis Scottish Open will be 6:45-8:57 a.m. BST in threesomes off Nos. 1 and 10.
See Alex Cejka getting some criticism for dusting up a minor tour. Shouldn’t these younger players/aspiring pros want to test themselves to improve their game? He’s setting the marker for a standard they need to reach to go the next level.
WGC Match Match 1 Bets
Denny McCarthy 13/10 to beat Keegan Bradley.
Bradley is 1-13-6 in Singles, and has never won a match at Austin CC (6 Halves, 3 losses)
McCarthy making debut but has played well on Pete Dye, and streaky with the putter.
The tie at 8/1 worth a bet also.
Jon Rahm won 2021 U.S. Open
He was:
T7 at November 20’ Masters
T5 at 21’ Masters
T8 at the 21’ PGA Championship
Should have won 21’ Memorial (Yanked off after 54 - COVID)
Viktor Hovland:
T4 22’ Open Championship
T7 23’ Masters
T2 23’ PGA Championship
Won Memorial

Here’s my early preview of the CJ Cup.
110/1 winners are always going to be nice.
110/1 Brian Harman at an Open Championship to crown off another strong major season for the podcast is even sweeter 😃
If you’re betting Jason Day at 22-1 this week, you should also bet him at 100–1 to win the PGA Championship.
If he’s back, which I think he is, that price won’t last long, especially if he were to go on and win on a major layout.
Was 8th at Oak Hill in 2013.
I cannot overstate my gratitude that

Hard to change opinions on this, but I think his honesty and thoughts will be appreciated
As ever, Peter was candid, thoughtful and generous with his time

He’d be delighted to ever finish 15th in a PGA Tour event again, so to suggest the only reason he’s not on the PGA Tour is because 15th “isn’t good enough for him” is quite the comment.
Deluded.
17 of the last 24 Sony Open winners had played the week before at the Tournament of Champions
5 of the last 8 winners had won in the fall the year before they won the Sony
The following players are playing at TOC, won in the fall and are in field next week: (See Next Tweet)
Would Homa have had the opportunity to win the 2021 Genesis Invitational under this new structure?
He was 70th in the previous years FedEx Cup, and I assume his first four starts of 21’ would not have been enough to qualify for an elevated Genesis
That week changed his career.
9 of the last 10 Masters winners had either won or finished runner-up in a major before winning the Green Jacket that year. The exception was Danny Willett who finished 6th at the Open Championship the year before.

The Kisner-Ryder Cup debate is back in force again, but to me it is simple.
Unless the Ryder Cup is played at Austin CC, or ends up back at Le Golf National, he’s not needed. The US Team is too deep.
Every single day, our supervisor goes “Oh my God, it’s lunchtime” and my manager goes “is it really?” like they’re surprised 4 hours has passed since we got here.
I sit here every single time wondering how it’s not 5pm.
It’s painful.
Guys,
A LOT goes into this show.
A lot of sacrifices made to churn out content every week, and plenty of work behind the scenes.
If we can ask that you share, comment, review, subscribe and all those good things, then we would be eternally grateful.
Final major of the year.
Harris English twice the first round leader on this course.
Also been in the top 10 after round 1 on another occasion.
Third-best iron week of the year at the Wyndham.
Former winner on this course.

Quite amazing we are going to get another 100-1+ winner on the PGA Tour this year. 🇫🇮
When golf twitter gets to peak shittiness tonight, just remember Will Z is:
Trying to convert his first 54-hole lead on the PGA Tour
Has a 2-time course winner, former World No.1 and major champion as his playing partner
Has a 2-time course winner and World No.1 chasing.
Booster jab Thursday. Not felt as rough as I did that night as I have in a long time. Friday, feel just as rough. Saturday test positive, and just like that Christmas is cancelled.
Two years I’ve avoided this shit, and done everything I can to be on the right side of it.
Finau is going to finish birdie-birdie, I am going to bet him for the Masters AGAIN, and then by Sunday morning, I am going to be regretting my life choices.
Torrential rains the last 24 hours leading into round 1 of Dubai Desert Classic. Some repair work needed, and course closed to fans for first day. More rain expected in Dubai on Thursday.
🤑💰🤑 Thomas Pieters cashes at 40/1 - This is the start of what should be a big season for him, and hopefully for our show as well.

Is the PLAYERS Championship less significant now we’ve had three elevated events already this year?
Could this spell the end of the “fifth major” talk?

What does the casual golf viewer get from studio analysts breaking down swings? I completely tune out, because it’s impossible to relate what they do.
I know it’s a time filler between coverage, but I’d rather a general discussion.
Genuine Q rather than criticism.

A fine example of looking beyond the results, and seeing a golfer who’s been closer than his finishes suggest!
Analysed the Top 10 at the 2014 Open Championship
9/10 had posted a Top 2 finish or better that year (Schwartzel 5th at Riv)
5/10 had a previous Top 5 at the Open (inc the top 4)
3/10 had already won that season
3 of the top 4 had finished T12 or better in a major that year
First Round Leader bets for the Valero Texas Open 🧵
4 of last 5 FRL’s here have come from AM wave. 2 of 3 since moving to March
Lucas Glover - 8:25 am tee time
3 x 66s in three starts here since 19’
14th/4th/18th finishes
12th after RD1 at Players
4th after RD1 at Valspar
Let’s do it now.
P.S. Tom Hoge wins at 60/1 for the third outright winner on

Cameron Smith - TOC
Thomas Pieters - Abu Dhabi
TOM HOGE - Pebble Beach

Five (yes, five) to take on the favourites at the Travelers Championship.

makes 10 birdies and no bogeys to open with a career-low-tying 61. Currently leads by two strokes.
@PGATOUR
Peter Malnati has previously opened with a 66 and a 67 at the South Course.
100/1 (5 places each way) to post lowest R1 score at the South.
Flashed some low rounds at the end of 23’ and good South Course players are at a premium.
More to follow but that’s one I like in FRL
