Old school masters could take a song or story and weave them into abstract patterns within the quillwork. So rather than ctrl+c ctrl+p historical designs, I wanted to create a process that utilized this older methodology of weaving songs, stories, and even new realities…

@EricHolthaus @Bquittem This might be too nuanced to do over twitter. I agree that for many of the "blockchain" applications that are spinning up everywhere, PoS is a better alternative. We don't really need proof of work for art and NFTs. But sound money cannot exist without Proof of Work.

Many of these companies would fail or wouldn't even exist if it wasn't for easy Cantillon money from the Fed to Big Banks to Oil.

So often Native artists are confined by institutions and collectors into stereotypes of what Native art and artists should look like. It’s inspiring to see Native artists applying ancestral methodologies to contemporary mediums and tech and who push what Native art is and can be.

Theotokos - Our Lady Of Glitch This work is a theophorus icon meditating on divinity incarnate in sex, birth, and transhuman glitch to bring forth children that are more-than-human. Uses glitch processes to weave in generated patterns from her son’s first cries.

Followers =/= Engagement =/= Sales =/= Value Just over 600 followers here, and my first auction had 2x the # of bidders that I expected & by artists that I admire Would much rather engage with a small hardcore community of creators/collectors than thousands of followers any day

Growing my artist twitter account w/out the use of cheap engagement tricks has been liberating. I now have other artists with much larger followings asking me how I sold out so quick with such "little" engagement. QUALITY followers > Quantity

Anyone who has worked in generative art knows how easy it is to fall down the 🐇🕳️... I experimented with a few different styles and practices, but I eventually came into a process for my generative quillwork that has created some stunning results for what I wanted to achieve.
