Watching BBC news this morning and a Labour MP mentioned that Boris Johnson is a racist, misogynist and an islamophobe and her response is "well he's not anti-semitic is he?" π????????????
They committed paternity fraud because Nigerian society always blames and punishes the women for lack of children and rarely ever do they consider the man could be the issue. That's the main point.
Having just finished reading *The Secret Lives of Baba Segiβs Wives* by Lola Shoneyin, I've concluded that paternity fraud should be a punishable crime.
One thing about Nigerians is that hypocrisy is a common trait found in most. We appropriate the black American outfits, the Korean outfits, the Indian outfits, the English outfits but we start foaming when a fellow African country does the same??
@Themichaelllll
I'm literally just discussing themes in a book you probably haven't read. I didn't condone what they did just explained why they did what they did. The fact that you can't disagree with me on a fictional book, mind you, without insulting me shows your level of intelligence.
Not to mention that once the other wives realised he was the problem, they didn't expose him and kept the secret going because that would mean losing him as their provider and would have to fend for themselves in a patriarchal society.
Btw if you guys want to read another book that touches on the above and how our societies automatically blame women when it comes to problems with childbearing, Stay With Me by Adebayo Abayomi is a really good read.
Why do people see the purpose of mother's day and father's day but not the purpose of Valentine's day? They're all made up days to show appreciation to your loved ones, no?
@ImaniDH_
Ndani has a lot of good ones, I recommend Phases, Game on and Rumour has it, if you haven't watched those already. The Smart Money Woman on Netflix is also great if you haven't already watched π
@Ariyoharyomi
It's not that simple, I said in my follow up tweet that the wives wouldn't have exposed him for being "impotent" because they still had a lot to lose by doing so. He was wealthy and could provide for them which is why they married him in the first place.
It's funny how Nigerian parents think Harry Potter is demonic but will happily watch nollywood movies where men sacrifice the pregnant wives and drink their blood in order to become rich
When the rest of the world finally comes to their senses and realises the horrors that they've let happen, I want Any Schumer to be so vilified that we never have to see her or hear of her disgusting self again
Seems a few people are trying to be sassy with me over this tweet which was clearly in response to that girls video. EYE believe that people that are used to a certain lifestyle don't need to come online and brag about it while putting others down. Hope that clears it ππΏ

What societal or cultural pressure that punishes men would ever lead a man to rape a women? Because this comparison is not making sense at all
@QueensSch
I think Seacole house would be a lovely name. An amazing jamaican british nurse that did a lot for British soldiers during the Crimean War. Her story is often overshadowed by Florence Nightingale
Petite is being very transparent and honest about this conversation. It's the same thing with Latina women as well. Playing up "exoticism" to benefit from it

Growing up as a dark skinned girl, I was too busy feeling ugly and undesirable to resent the girls that were lighter than me. This "jealousy" narrative needs to die
He left Nigeria for the UK as a student 3 months ago. He has just been arrested for sexual harassment after multiple children reported to the police.
He went ahead to invite one of the children to his house to have sex, and sent explicit pictures to other children.
You will see Uloma in the office running immediately her boss calls her, saying yes sir immediately her boss talks but when she comes home sheβs the lion and the conqueror π you need not to take women seriously
@teefortilly
Nah he was objectively handsome it's just his love for Faye that made him ugly π same with me for Remi but before we saw the dancing, I did think he was attractive
Lol so my
@UberUK
driver made me wait in the cold for 30 minutes before cancelling my ride. Then had the nerve to say the reason for cancellation was because I wasn't wearing a mask. Someone that didn't even get to my location.
@UberUK
what's your policy for lying drivers??
Congolese owned retailers Grass Fields is under fire from the Somali community for cultural appropriation of their Diracs as Kaftans.
What are your thoughts on this?

It's not appropriation per se, but it is definitely interesting to see other countries abandon their own cultural attire for ours just because ours is glamourised. Then they'll complain that Nigeria overshadows other West African countries....
I agree with Tazer. Sometimes it takes an artist's death for people to be made aware of them and start listening to their music. It's not fake love and I really hate that term

But some people will be on here saying they "understand" why the parent would do this for whatever stupid reason. You people need to wake up fr, stop trying to contextualise nonsense
While she was yelling at me, she was also yelling at her 8 year old, knocking her head and slapping her and calling her a fool, a follow-follow.
Throughout the whole day, that girl barely spoke to me, and for the rest of the year, the girl avoided me. No greeting, no eye contact
